Michelle mine too. Remember I was a late bloomer I saw Twilight on TV for the first time, and when he walked into that cafeteria he made my heart skip beats, and totally stole my breath away. My heart and soul belonged to him from that moment on.
Thank you for the memories.

Thank you so much Michelle. I’ve never been the same since I first viewed this grand caf entrance. It goes down in cinema history as the most captivating moment for me. Hell he’s right up there with the gorgeousness of Ralph Fiennes in The English Patient. Thank you Catherine Hardwicke for creating delicious original Twilight Eddie.

What is it with Brit actors Maria? Rob, Ralph, Jude, Ewan (ok technically Scot) but they’ve all done something to me whilst watching their craft on screen. I was mesmerised by Ralph in The English Patient and it took me a long time to move on from that movie. Such an evocative tragic love story. I was a late bloomer to Twilight as I saw it about a year after it was released and I just haven’t been able to get Rob’s performance out of my head since. I experienced the same with Little Ashes, Remember Me, Water for Elephants, Bel Ami and more recently Cosmopolis. He’s put me in a trance ever since the cafe scene ‘his voice, his looks…invite me in’. Noone else could’ve possibly portrayed Edward as perfectly as Rob.

Am so with you there MichelleC, no other actor could have ever portrayed Edward as perfectly as Rob has. Edward is such a limiting character & Rob just did so much with him. He did the most brilliant job. To think that back at the start people didn’t want him. How anyone could EVER not want Rob – that just baffles me beyond belief. One thing’s for sure, if there had been no Rob in Twilight I still to this day would not have read the books & I definitely would not have seen the movies. I would have been as ignorant to them now as I was before Rob was cast.
Oh & am with you & Maria re: Ralph in the English Patient. Absolutely beautiful. It’s been too long since I have watched, need to do that very soon.
