GENERAL: As part of the Australian tour for the upcoming release of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 2 on NOVEMBER 15, actor ROBERT PATTINSON, who plays vampire Edward Cullen in the film, will appear at a very special fan event in Sydney on Monday 22nd October, 2012.
WHAT: ROBERT PATTINSON ON THE RED CARPET, FOR THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 2 FAN EVENT
WHERE: BYRON KENNEDY HALL, ENTERTAINMENT QUARTER, MOORE PARK
WHEN: MONDAY 22 OCTOBER
The red carpet activity is set to wrap up at approximately 6pm.
Would have been nice if they’d given us a start time. Â Anyways, if any more info comes to hand, we’ll of course let everyone know.
UPDATE:Â We now have a bit more info to share. Maria has had email confirmation that:
Fans are able to line up for the red carpet from 4pm and not before.  There will also be some fun things happening outside/on the red carpet for fans.  Only fans that have won tickets via the NOVA promotion will be permitted inside the event.
They love to rub that in don’t they *sniff*

“Wrap up at 6pm” – wrap up from when? And too bad if you work … why are they even bringing Rob to Australia for a “tour” . Last time I checked the definition of “tour” meant a pleasant journey where you visited several places.
And sorry but I’ve been to a function at the Byron Kennedy Hall – it’s a FREAKIN HALL that holds loads of people – and by loads I mean more than 40.
I’m going to prepare an appropriate mood gif ….

So, do I hop on a flight to Sydney or not? This is all so frustrating. When I read that the red carpet wraps up at 6pm, I figured that was so that Rob could suffer through his ‘fan event’, then meet us for Michelle ‘s birthday dinner …… Can anyone confirm?

Just when we think this thing cannot get any worse. Seriously, why hold it at a venue that holds lots of people when they’re letting so few in. Also, clearly no one has told them that in order to have a wrap up time, you have to actually have a start time too *shakes head*

@Sue if only that was why it was wrapping up. Who knows what else is happening. I did get told there is NO press conference in Sydney. I thought it was interesting they specified “Sydney”. That was 2 weeks ago when I was being kept in the loop. Apparently I’m not being kept in the loop anymore. Maybe it’s because I pointed out the flaws in Nova’s Terms & Conditions – all I know is after a 3 year relationship I’m being treated like a 12 year old.
All I’m trying to do is let Rob’s fans know what’s happening. I guess my agenda is different to theirs.

NOT that I would have a clue about such things, as I’ve never cared before Rob …. but this seems like the craziest possible way of holding a fan event. Maybe it’s because they figure the audience for the final movie is a given ~ but then why bother flying Rob (or anyone), to Australia at all, if not for the fans? Of course I could speculate on that , but it’s probably not appropriate …. regardless, thanks for keeping us as informed as possible, M & M.

No tickets needed for the red carpet Teresa, so you can just go down from 4pm 🙂 But to get inside the event, you have to have won a ticket.

I hope they announce this to everyone else about lining up from 4 so we don’t miss out. If red carpet finishes at 6 it’s going to b rush rush if u can’t line up until after 4 right?

And we were standing inside on the red carpet when Rob arrived, just opposite all the fans who were lucky to meet him, so believe me we feel the pain

yeh 4pm to line up and then 6pm wrap up…… Gonna be a mad rush, why can’t anyone in Australia create a smooth running event , pretty sure they should have asked RPAU to Host the Event 😛 , I think I’m just gonna fly in earlier and hang around hours before just to be on the safe side, don’t want to miss anything 🙂

I’m wallowing in self pity at the moment. I had dreams about this sort of thing hoping that I could have the chance to see Rob. Really hard coming from Melbourne…seriously thinking of taking a sickie but professionally it’s going to be hard to organize due to committments. Feeling really pissed off at the moment but thank you ladies for keeping us up to date with what’s going on. Are they assuming that just teenagerss are going to attend?
