and yes, I would love to head over to Darlinghurst, but it’s too far and as I have seen Bel Ami on the big screen 4 times already, I will have to be satisfied until the DVD arrives. Thanks again for the gif. Maria.

I’m not ready to let Georges go. What wondeful news! I haven’t ever been to Govinda’s but i will make sure to change that during July. 🙂

Wow – I just followed the link as you suggested Maria. Govinda’s does sound like an amazing destination all by itself. Very cool. Thanks for the tip

Thanks Maria. Govinda’s looks like such a cool place ~ I’d love to see Bel Ami there, not sure I’m going to be able to sneak away to Sydney for a weekend in July, unfortunately. I’ll keep it in the back of my mind, though, thanks for the tip.

So lucky Sydney!

Aaaah… unfortunately we haven’t had Bel Ami in Montréal, and it looks like we are going to go with the dvd only… (August 7th same as the US release). I so wish I could have seen it on the big screen ! I really don’t understand why it didn’t make it to the Theaters, since it’s been annonced twice, in March then in June, and since it is a great cast, and the European reviews weren’t that bad !!! Here in Montréal we receive every week a lot of movies, (from Québec, the rest of Canada (the ROC), the U.S and Europe etc.) and many of them are not a 4 or 5 stars out of 5, so why no Bel Ami on the big screen ? Boooh to Sony distribution 🙁
But thanks for the gif Maria, real cute ! 🙂
Have a great week you all !

Aw @Lynda that is so not fair re no Bel Ami on the big screen. I don’t get it either – it’s like they made this film and then they decided against releasing it. I can’t explain it. Although I remember seeing a Robert De Niro film at the cinema when I was in the States years ago. A year later it still hadn’t been released in Australia – turns out it went straight to DVD here. So who knows the reasoning behind it.
