“Limited Release”??? Don’t that just figure. Another “Bel Ami” deal. Either Rob has to stop making these independent films that never release in my area, or I’m going to lose interest in being a fan.
Michelle
Lose interest in being a fan Shirl – seriously? Rob is not going to stop making films like Cosmopolis nor do I want him to – ever. Neither Remember Me or Bel Ami were screened close to me, to see BA I traveled 3 hours. Sadly I doubt that Cosmopolis will be screened near me either, as much as I want it SO very badly to be. Not only so I can see the film on opening day, but so that I can go multiple times to support Rob & the film. Personally I’d love if Rob make indie films for the rest of his career. We all heard what he said multiple times in the recent Cosmo interviews, how if he could make films like Cosmopolis for the rest of his career he would be very happy. I’m paraphrasing but that was the general gist.

@Shirl you need to take this up with the distributors because they are the ones who have control of when and where these films are screened. Unfortunately neither Rob nor Cronenberg or anyone else involved with the film for that matter has a say in it. Once a distributor pays for the rights to distribute the film it’s in their complete control and this includes whether they will fund a premiere in their country.
I hope that clarifies things for you so you don’t blame Rob and I think you’d might miss him just a little :D.

AHHHHHHH!!!! OMG!!! My prayers have finally been answered. Thank you, thank you, thank you Lord, and you girls for always giving me the best news.
Shirl sorry to hear they won’t be playing it near you. But I would travel to the of the universe to see his movies. But then again everyone here thinks I’m insane, and they are probably right. But I don’t give a sh*t. I really would.
Michelle
LOL Martha, me too. I’d travel anywhere to see Rob’s movies – seriously. People around me think I’m nuts too but like you say, I don’t give a sh*t 😀
So thrilled a date has been announced for you!
Martha M
@Michelle if you’re thrilled, just imagine me. I was squeeeing and jumping on my chair at work. Of course all co workers asked at the same time “Now what’s happening with Rob”? Ha ha ha. God they no me so well.
Michelle
Haha “Now what’s happening with Robâ€? that made me laugh Martha. SO EXCITING 😀 82 days to go for us here in OZ, so wish I could fast forward time!
Carmel
Rob should be making movies that interest him and independent films often are the most interesting. That is a fact. As pointed out in the Cosmo Promo Tour from Heaven, Hollywood movies can’t risk being original, there is too much money involved.
I will travel to the ends of the universe to see a Rob movie with you Martha and Michelle. It would be a super fun trip.
