It’s that time of year when the Teen Choice Award nominations get announced.  Rob has been nominated in 2 categories:

Choice Male Hottie
Justin Bieber
Ryan Gosling
Liam Hemsworth
Robert Pattinson
Ian Somerhalder

Choice Movie Actor: Sci-Fi/Fantasy
Robert Downey, Jr., “The Avengers”
Chris Hemsworth, “The Avengers”
Josh Hutcherson, “The Hunger Games” and “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island”
Taylor Lautner, “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1”
Robert Pattinson, “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1”

I just read their voting guidelines and apparently you can only vote if you are a permanent US resident and between the ages of 13 and 19 .. ahahahahaha oh dear how could they possibly police that.  That’s just hilarious.  Anyway I’m pretty sure you are able to register and vote regardless of where you reside and obviously age.

The “Voting Period” is between May 18, 2012, 12:01 AM PT and July 21, 2012 12:01 AM

The show airs on FOX in the US live Sunday, 22 July 2012 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed).  Oh great it’s on my birthday here in Oz on Monday 23 July 2012.  Will check our guides closer to date to see if it will air on FOXTEL/Austar’s FOX channel.  Funny usually Rob’s at Comic-Con on my birthday – will be interesting to see what happens.

I have to wonder how is Ryan Gosling’s Drive even nominated when half of their supposed audience wouldn’t possibly have been able to see it.  So he misses out on an Oscar nom but gets a TCA one – this world is really bizarre.

    LOL you have to laugh at their supposed rules. Like you say Maria, how could they ever police it – they just can’t.

    Hmmm true Maria re: Comic Con, will be interesting to see what happens there. Thanks for letting us know, I’m off to have a look & *cough* vote *cough* lol 😀

    Maybe this is why they keep refering to Rob as a Teen Heart throb. I know I just became the same age as my daughter.

    These awards are so stupid but as I do think Rob is a Hottie I have cast my vote

    Mmm maybe as I fit the age category several times over I can cast a few votes -would love to see the results if it was just an open vote. I know we don’t need voting to tell us our choice of “hottie” and ” male choice actor” – can’t wait for his new movies to be released and some serious awards for Rob 😃
