I know @Jules I know … it just makes the one being promo right now look like a kiddie feature … sorry but it does.

Bring on gun toting Eric. Why are people saying this is a spoiler – it’s based on a book – we all know how it ends!

Just WOW!!!! Poor Edward, he just doesn’t compare to Eric really. Now this is what we want to see!!!

*goes off to admire for the rest of the day*

ITA @Vicky – oh wait you already know that. We need this pic in HQ and any others thank you.

Hahaha the mood pic was essential!

By Golly! Not a trace of Edward there and thank goodness for that!!!
You are absolutely right @maria, the promo for BD is so inane and boring and mindless…I am sick of it already. The only thing I like about it is the new pics of Rob in all his glory and his goofiness and to see how nice he is to the fans.
And the mood pic??? B**dy priceless!!!

WOW, WOW & DOUBLE WOW!!!! That’s the most excited I’ve been all week. Bring on Eric. Even a HQ would suffice for now!
(I just can’t get into all the BD promo. Hopefully that will change with the coming weeks talk show appearances)

That is a magnificent picture Maria! I can’t wait to see what opportunities await Rob after the critics & world sees this flick & moves on with their typecasting of him as moody/gentle/no-nuts Edward (don’t get me wrong, I love Rob as Edward). I’m quite sure he will receive more scripts that interest him, to consider 😀

I think I am dead. But before I completely die, just took out the Rosary to pray with all of you that we get it in HQ. Oh God please!

I’ll pray with Martha ….. I FINALLY read Cosmopolis last month and picturing Rob (as Eric) as I read it was awesome …… 2012 is going to be a wonderful year for us!

    Wow!

    Whats hotter than goatee-Rob?

Rob with a gun apparently (and I thought that was impossible).

    [Insert expletive here]

    (More please 😀 )

Lovin’ that Cronenberg direction already. Lovin’ that I don’t give a ‘insert expletive’ facial from Eric. Think Eric is going to be Rob’s gold card to hardcore acting roles and ones that allow his range to be fully realised. 2012 is going to be a mammoth year for Rob.

@MichelleC couldn’t agree with you more.

And as you all say 2012 is going to be mammoth year for Rob (even with BDPt 2 because then the saga will be well and truly behind him).

    I need some advice ladies.
I have deliberately avoided reading cosmopolis because I just wanted to enjoy the movie as it is. BUT Eric has left me wanting more NOW.
For those of you that have read it, what do you reckon? Wait, and keep it all a surprise? Or is it one of those books you get more out of on a revisit?

    Sue

    • November 2, 2011 at 7:03 pm

@Liz …… that’s what I was going to do ….. but I caved last month, I couldn’t take it any more! Having read it, I’m definitely glad I did ~ picturing Rob as I read certainly helped ….*(*cough*) i think reading the book gives a certain feel to the character of Eric, which I really enjoyed more than I expected to. That’s only my opinion, don’t know if it helps. Good luck!

Liz, the book is brilliant. I enjoyed reading it!!! I will say it was a very different read for me so I struggled in the beginning but once I was started I could not put it down!!

*kicks Eddie to the curb* He-llooooooooooo Eric 😉

I say most definitely read it Liz, you won’t be sorry. It is SO different to anything I have ever read before but I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed it, especially the second half. Rob has introduced me to so many new & wonderful things, I love that. I couldn’t turn the pages quick enough. I cannot wait to see Rob as Eric. The pics alone show how much he has nailed the character (as if there was ever any doubt) just imagine how brilliant he is going to be in the film itself.

2012 is definitely going to be an epic year for Rob. So exciting – bring it on 😀

@Liz I think perhaps you should read it before the movie is released because undoubtedly there will be parts of the book cut from the film. Understandable, but I think it might give you more insight into the characters – that’s my opinion.

Having said that – there are a few crucial scenes in the book that once you read it you will be praying like us that they are included – and I”m not just talking about “my prostate is assymetrical” – is that enough incentive? Yeah – nobody spoil it for her because I want to hear her reaction *winks*.

Eric’s going to blow us all away. Kaaaboom!

    • November 2, 2011 at 10:49 pm

Oh Sweet Jesus!!!!!!! Rob has me going weak at the knees about things that would normally be a turn off – like smoking, and holy hell, doesn’t he look hot with that gun!!!!
I love the look on his face. Wow. I can’t wait for Cosmopolis

@Liz – I think you should read the book too, for all the reasons already mentioned. It isn’t a standard story and Eric isn’t a standard character. I am sure reading it will help you appreciate the subtleties in the movie. Plus it is a magnificent read. I can’t praise the poetry of the writing highly enough. Like Michelle, Rob has opened my eyes to completely new worlds and I love every single one of them. I am a Dellino devotee now. I’m currently on my third book of his.

And read Cosmopolis with Rob in mind is going to thrill you all by itself. Read it.

I must say Rob has definitely boosted my reading of late – Cosmopolis. Water For Elephants and Bel Ami – have to say thinking of Rob in character as you read makes it all the more enjoyable 🙂

hiya @Liz, I had the exact same question about whether to read Cosmopolis, but was too scared to ask! Lol, I’ve had my copy for a couple of months now & I keep looking at it, wondering if I should read, or if I should wait to be shocked & surprised & amazed by Rob all at once when I see the film…. I guess it depends on how long we have to wait for the film?! I read W4E first & enjoyed the movie (the best book-movie adaptation I’ve seen) but also loved the surprise factor when watching movies like RM or LA. So conflicted! Will all the BD craziness be enough Rob to get me through til Eric or Georges hits cinemas?! Please let us know what you decide 😀

    Maria

    • November 3, 2011 at 12:00 pm

@Val – having read one of the first drafts of the RM script back in early 2009 – I can tell you I was still surprised when the movie was finally released. They make changes and although the ending may have been the same it didn’t have the surprise twist or impact the original script did. Michael didn’t commit suicide – he was killed during the attacks at the World Trade Centre in the early 90s.

I kind of wish that they had kept it .. but oh well.

Thanks @Maria, ah…wow, that certainly would’ve packed a powerful punch if they’d kept that bit!! I can imagine that the animosity between Tyler & his dad would have been more, and different at the same time…. Thanks for sharing that, lucky you to read scripts 😀 I know what you mean about still being surprised – even though I totally loved W4E as a book I still found some parts of the film a nice surprise. Maybe I should read it then…..? @Liz, did you decide yet?! lol!
