Update on Australian Release Date for Bel-Ami

Okay so some of you have been lettingÂ RPAUÂ know that Palace Cinemas have listed Bel-Ami’s release date on their website as 1 March 2012.Â Â Well I have just had confirmation from the Australian distributor that that date is in fact a rumour.Â Â Don’t get too excited though because I’ve also had confirmation that we won’t be seeing Bel-Ami in Oz until some time in the first quarter of 2012.Â I don’t think we should be disappointed by this – it just means that we will have Georges and Rob’s promo tour to look forward too at the beginning of 2012!Â Yep see if you look close enough there is a silver lining in everything.

Anyway we promise that we will let you know as soon as the release date has been confirmed.

Oh I do like the way you think @maria!! Silver lining indeed! What a great start to 2012 **claps hands excitedly ** Thanks for the update too. Any news on BA is welcome.

And maybe if its released then, Rob won’t be too busy to pay us another visit! He was quite impressed with our Soul PATTINSON chemists when he was in Sydney after all 😉
Thats assuming its not at the same time as when Cosmopolis is due for release (should I know the release date for that or do we not know yet?)

Eitherway any reminder of Bel Ami is a little gift.

Hahahaha @Liz – I think of Rob whenever i walk past Soul PATTINSON in Pitt Street Mall – which is often since I don’t work too far from it. Also we can live in hope about him coming to Oz next year, although this is a small indie film and well not sure if the distributors are planning a premiere here. Will keep you posted though closer to the time.

I doubt we will see Cosmpolis before July. I saw an interview with David Cronenberg at the Toronto Film Festival where he said something like “see you here next year with Cosmopolis” – and there’s the rumour of taking it to Cannes which is May – so I doubt very much that Georges will coincide with Eric. It kind of explains why Rob can take some time off since he will have 3 films released next year (or 2 definitely and a possible 3rd).

Plus it will be the end of the Twi franchise *throws streamers* leaving him time to pick whatever roles he chooses and I can’t wait for that … excited much – abso-freakin-lutely!

Bring on 2012 …

hang in there! We are well seasoned when it comes to waiting for Rob projects to hit our screens and it sounds way closer now than it did when we were being kept in the dark about it. Or should I say closer than we were yesterday. lol

btw Maria – this isn’t how I dreamt it last night. lol

The beginning of 2012 cannot get here quick enough!!!! SO good to have something more solid to look forward to. The day we officially meet you Georges is getting closer & closer *happy dance* 😀 Thanks so much for letting us know Maria.
