Seriously what better way to help us through our Friday & into the weekend than 2 + minutes of Rob playing the piano – just beyond words beautiful.  For those who may not have seen this feature, you are in for a real treat.  I’ll never forget the first time I listened/watched. Rob you are so talented, yep am stating the obvious I know but it can never ever be said too much. Maria, I’m so glad you decided to listen to this, this morning & suggested we post!  Sit back eveyone & enjoy the brilliance that is Rob…

    Me too Michelle – I love my Rob album on my iTunes and sometimes when you haven’t seen something for a white it’s a treat.

    Thanks for posting too – I wasn’t near a computer obviously when I was listening/watching. I swear whenever I walk into David Jones Elizabeth Street store and the old man is playing the piano I dream about it being Rob … imagine. I would never leave the store … ever *goesofftodreamofpianistRob*

    Have I told you ladies how much I love you lately!! Whenever I would try to play this on youtube, it wouldn’t work properly and the music wouldn’t line up right….so now I get to see it and it’s amazing!!

    My eyes are tired. I go from watching those talented fingers play to the constant lip pout while playing.

    Really is heaven, listening to Rob play … I remember when I first saw/heard this, it was one of the things that made me want to know more about him …..didn’t quite realize at the time how time-consuming THAT little hobby was going to become!

    @Cindy, it’s on the US Target 3 disc Twilight edition, the UK 2 disc edition & it was also featured on the Sanity bonus disc 🙂

    It never fails, I always cry when I see this litte concerto. His hands are so beautiful and elegant. It is absolutely breath taking *wipeseyes*! Thank so much Michelle for so much beauty.

    Geez I hate work sometimes….I cannot see it here, so will have to watch on my phone…but to really and truly enjoy it I have to wait until I get home!! RL sucks sometimes doesn’t it? Thank you for posting it girls – I have not seen it many times and as I play the piano too it is very special to me.

    There are no words to describe my gratitude to you girls. I had no idea there was such a beautiful video of ROB playing the piano. It’s heanen watching him, those piano hands, the look on his face, the wonderful music he’s playing.Thank you a million times for this treasured gift.

    Oh this is breathtaking isn’t it?! @Cindy, I managed to get the 3 disc limited edition from JB’s online here in Oz, earlier this year (bought it just for this scene). I just checked & it’s not there now sorry 🙁 but I also did see it in a Sanity store last year (2x the price mind you!).

    This is maybe my favourite vision of Rob. It is shot beautifully and Rob just breaks my heart with his playing. I have a snippet as my SMS ring tone so I can imagine those fingers gliding over the ivories so tantalisingly. Thank God for CH. At least she knew what she had.

    oooooh @Carmel, that’s a grand idea 🙂 I might steal it!! I totally agree, his fingers are beautiful, such musician’s hands. And yes, for whatever else CH might have got wrong, she got Rob very very right 🙂 Watching this made me dig out my Vanity Fair mag again, (April 2011) and then I got thinking @Maria, have you ever done a piano-pic theme post? As I’ve only been hanging around here a year & a bit, and don’t manage to get on here every day, I might have missed if you have….

    LOL no worries Val, easy to get confused & definitely no offense taken.

    We haven’t ever done a specific piano themed post as unfortunately there’s not too many pics of Rob playing besides the 2009 VF pics which we LOVE & do post often.

    Catherine Hardwicke is clearly a smart woman. Anyone that doesn’t cast Rob in a movie, obviously doesn’t have a brain in their heads.

    🙂 thanks Michelle. Believe me I think of Rob everytime I tinkle the ivories – this clip of him was inspiration for me to start improv myself, & I can’t deny my style has changed since first seeing this clip. Talk about an influential man, lol – a couple of minutes & we’re all completely dazzled. (Definitely some aspects of book-Edward’s character within Rob)

    Can’t wait for the BD lullaby, shame it’s a long while to come *sigh* Summit might really be quite insane, not re-visiting what CH showed us.

    @Val – Go for it with the ring tone. I don’t think I’d mind at all if the whole world has Rob related ring tones. And I love your idea of a piano post – maybe it could be expanded to a musical post. Not that that would increase the photo pool by much. However I can think of a very special Jules creation that might qualify
