Twitter and What Rob Really Thinks of It
As some of you know, I’m in the middle of making a vid of recent appearances by Rob and let’s face it soooooooooo many interviews came out for the WFE promotion it’s hard to remember everything that was said, but I thought I’d extract this from the Sydney Press Conference because  Rob gives us his honest opinion about Twitter (and people who sneak photos of him) – after this how can anyone question what he thinks.  Plus this is going to come in very handy whenever I’m asked on Twitter – “are you really Rob Pattinson”.  I also agree with Reese – I’ve always said that Twitter is a bully’s playground.

Vicky
I don’t remember seeing this one before but I really enjoyed it. The problem is, the people who really need to heed what Rob is saying will be oblivious to the fact that they are the problem. I’ve got no idea with twitter either (or facebook for that matter)!!
Michelle
Thanks for posting this piece as a separate video Maria – it so needed to be. I watched the PC recently & this part was one of the questions that really stood out. Am so glad Rob voiced his honest opinion of all those people *glares* that hound him all the time. I hate sneakiness too Rob & I’d want to shove the phone down their throats as well. I just cannot comprehend how anyone could do that to him.
I absolutely LOATHE Twitter & wish it would disappear. It’s the devil!! This is perfect for all those people that STILL tweet & ask if we are Rob or if Rob has a twitter. You’d think they’d realise by now that Rob does NOT have a Twitter. Hmm then again that would mean that they actually listen to him when he speaks, which as we know all too well – they DON’T! I agree with Reese here too – so so true what she says.
Michelle
So true Vicky, the people that are to blame would never think it was them Rob is talking about. They only hear what they want to hear & couldn’t care less anyway. They only think about themselves. I really loathe people like that. So so selfish.
Cindy
Sad to say but some people just cannot and will not be told. What would be more fabulous than meeting Rob or anyone you admire having a little chat maybe a photo then going home and telling your friends not posting it all over the net. I will say now if i ever get the pleasure the pic will be in a frame hanging on the wall in my house and if you want to see it come visit me.
Maria
@Cindy I hear ya sista!
Cindy
I knew you would Maria 🙂
Michelle
Absolutely Cindy!!!
Carmel
@Cindy – Well said.
I do love that Rob fights back against the loons and uses the media to do it. Rob has the balls and the smarts. At the same time he gives so much to fans who respect the proper boundaries. His integrity is astounding in someone so young. I have to belive Rob will win over time. I truly wish that for him.
Vicky
Perfectly put Cindy!!!
Vertigo
Why on earth would you tweet his whereabouts?! Stupidity knows no bounds.
I’ll come for a visit Cindy!
Caro
I dunno, I like twitter..
But I understand that when celebs use it, (generally) its for marketing reasons. And I wish it could end there. Rather than all this hashtagging crap.
Maria
Really @Caro – that’s what you got from Rob’s opinion that the hashtagging is the problem?
To be honest – if I didn’t tweet posts I doubt I would even use Twitter – I agree with Rob – I see no purpose for it other than business. And I certainly don’t follow his stalkers or the people who claim to be “in the know” – get a clue people and a life that’s preferably not Rob’s.
Michelle
I’m with you Maria, I never knew what it was before we began using it for the site & had no desire to. It’s the devil, a tool that the stalkers use to make Rob’s life miserable. How could I EVER like something that does that to him? I absolutely loathe it.
Caro
@Maria, I assume the hashtagging and the tweeting of locations kinda goes hand-in-hand.
Maria
Really @Caro well that just proves that I don’t use twitter because I thought the hashtagging was purely to make Rob or whatever “trend” – which really is so childish and stupid I don’t get it. Do they hashtag what restaurants he’s at – again – goes to show that I don’t follow the stalkers.
Actually don’t tell me – I don’t want to know.
Caro
Lol @Maria, I dont think its the restaurants as such, (though Im sure the restaurants would love a bit of twitter trend – free publicity! ..Actually I wonder of Icebergs got busier after the pap photos of Rob emerged. hmm.)
I think its more #RobPattinson or #Rpattz, and then its about what the rest of the tweet is saying. Im just thinking how did all those kids in Lubbock get to the pub in record time.
Maria
Lol @caro it was across the road from the local college
Caro
@Maria was too. Gah. But then again, if I was a texan college student and I had my twitter trending set to local, and Rob started trending, Id probably click it, out of curiousity. Its the passing of it on thats the problem.
Maria
@Caro I think that was Rob’s point 🙂
Caro
The amount of tweets Ive seen you guys send along the lines of “No, were not, Rob doesnt have a twitter”
Must get pretty old. Kudos to you ladies.
Sare
You guys know im on twitter, i like it. However, i completely understand why people loathe it. Why on earth would someone like having their whereabouts posted on the internet for the world to see (and go to). As far as Reese’s comment that it is a bullying ground, i couldn’t agree more, though i think the internet in general is a bullying ground. People somehow think theyre invincible once they’re behind a computer and are down right mean.
lise-lou
Well said Rob lets hope the people that use twitter in that way take notice.
Jules
Just wanting to add my – I love you Rob. Well said everyone – I also really don’t get twitter and wouldn’t be on it if it weren’t for my blog! I think as fans of Rob we have a duty to be respectful and look out for him (if that makes sense). He definitely brings out my protective side. 😉 I would never dream of tweeting or retweeting his whereabouts. Mind you I also think (from what I’ve seen) it’s not always fans….just peeps in the same locations start sending out messages – wanting their 5 mins of fame. We, as fans, should just not be re-tweeting/giving it any internet coverage. Bleh. I’m so glad I’ve found peeps who respect him. *hugs*
(hope that made some sense!)

Just ignore them. There is no need even waste a time. Own precious time, dear.
Most of the people in this world are just a “zomby” that do not really think. Superficial and stupid. Even if you say what you want and what you mean they will not get it. So…just leave it:)) This blog’s doing great job. I like it.
