I just loved SkyNews.com.au‘s article and so I just wanted to post.  It’s not telling us anything new – we know WFE opened at No. 1, but sorry Chris Hemsworth, you might be an Aussie, but there is no competing against Rob …

“Australian audiences flocked to see Twilight star Robert Pattinson’s romantic period drama Water for Elephants over the weekend, keeping Australian star Chris Hemsworth from hammering out a number one spot for Thor.”

Click on link if you want to read the article.

And according to The Numbers, WFE has grossed $82.5 million worldwide – holy hell batman – any critic out there still willing to say this movie is going to flop?  Anyone ???  Yeah I didn’t think so.

That’s the most fantastic news, not only for Rob & the crew, but also for us who get judged about our admiration for Rob. I mean, we all know we’re right, but it’s nice to have that fact acknowledged by the soggy mass parting with their hard-earned money too 🙂 I don’t mind singing his praises to anyone who will listen, but nothing says “fact” like cold hard cash stats!
Thanks @Maria for chasing the info down and posting for us all to enjoy xx

I am grinning from ear to ear. I can never ever see the words ‘WFE opened at number one in Australia’ enough. Makes me do a happy dance each & every time. $82.5 million worldwide wooo hoooooo. Oh that is just absolutely AMAZING. Beyond words happy for Rob & all involved with this beautiful film. Exactly what they all deserve 😀

*passes more humble pie to all those idiot critics that doubted – glares at them*
