2 Years On From HTB Aussie Premiere
I can’t believe it was 2 years ago today that the Australian premiere, organised by Cilla – RPAU’s original owner, was held. Â What a day that was – the anticipation and excitement in seeing this film on the big screen for the first time. I have so many fond memories from that day – two being that I met Michelle for the first time in person and Vertigo walking up to me as I was handing out tickets and saying “are you Maria from the site?” Â I guess I looked like the only smartarse associated with RPAU even then LOL. Â It wasn’t too long after that night that Cilla gave the site to both Michelle and I and we seriously have never looked back. Â See Rob you bring so much more than just entertainment. Â Anyhoo – I just felt like seeing some Art tonite and what better way than our favourite Golden Years HTB scenes.

LOL! Those scenes get me everytime – how much do we love this movie, Art being so adorable and all.
Thanks for posting these clips from the golden years Maria, it was way too much fun working on the series and I didn’t want it to ever end. Thankfully Rob is giving in nature and I hope there will be tonnes more to work with in the future.

LOL @Vertigo – well you can only say “no you can’t have a poster they are prizes” so many times …
Remember the screams when we told them we had a signed poster from Rob to give away … omg I almost put in a claim for industrial deafness!

I love when you girls reminisce. I wish I could have been there, sounds like a great night. So glad that you all met and kept up with the site because you all bring us so much joy on a daily basis.

hahaha yep, there was screaming alright. I found myself apologising to the journalist sitting next to me, she was impressed by the enthusiasm, but even more so when she saw Rob as someone other than Edward.

Love seeing these vids again. The golden years was just the best fun!!!! I wish I had been able to see HTB on the big screen and it really sounds like it was a great night!!! Thanks Maria for reminding us of the beauty that is Art, both inside and out.

2 years ago since this AMAZING night – I cannot believe it either. Seriously only seems like yesterday. Every time I think about it I always smile so much. It is so so special to me & I will never ever forget it 😀 Rob you have brought so many wonderful people into my life through our love & appreciation for you & I truly thank you for that.
Art, I absolutely ADORE you. Thanks so much for this wonderful reminiscing post Maria. I LOVED our Golden Years series so so much. Had the most wonderful time over those weeks. LOL I’m the same re: ‘Golden Years’ song. I still sing it to myself now – LOVE it 😀

I watched htb for the first time about 2 weeks ago.
Such a funny movie. I’ve watched it 3 times since.
I loved Art. I loved the joy on his face when he first drives that car. Such a lovable pest. And I loved that he sang in it.
Sounds like u girls had alot of fun at the premiere.

Wow that night sounds like a blast. How I wish I would have there, but we are world apart. Thank Maria for bringing back the Golden Years How I love your Golden Years. I too was always humming & singing along with David. Thanks for the memories. Just love Art. I always want to take him in my arms, and hug and kiss him, till he cant stand it anymore.

It was fab @Cindy, but I have to say the screaming – every time we walked out into the foyer, was really unnerving. I really don’t know how Rob handles it on an almost daily basis.

It sure was unnerving Maria. Every time we went out into the foyer all in attendance looked at us like we were famous lol. Like you say Maria, I have no idea how Rob handles it daily. It freaked me out & that is NOTHING compared to what Rob deals with. He deserves a medal – he really does.

@Carolyn – ITA. Even if we weren’t all there that special HTB night, we all have so much to celebrate. RPAU has bought us all together from all corners of the globe and not oceans or even bad postal services can reduce the power of this community. So the ladies that did meet that night have very precious memories to hold and re-tell. They are our folklore.
