I’m sorry but I just can’t post the NYTimes article that goes with these new pics of Rob since it’s just further evidence of why I don’t believe any written supposed interviews or articles about Rob.  I only gleaned this article but I already laughed *out loud* twice – examples:

“His only role of note prior to Edward Cullen was a bit part in “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,” as Cedric Diggory, the doomed love interest of Hermione” – huh – is Brooke Barnes serious?

“Much is riding on “Water for Elephants” because his leading roles outside of “Twilight” have disappointed or failed at the box office. The inexpensive romantic drama “Remember Me,” released in March, grossed only $19 million in North America. About $35 million in overseas ticket sales eased the pain a little, but the upshot was that Mr. Pattinson appeared unable to anchor a movie despite the “Twilight” nuttiness. “Little Ashes,” a foreign film in which Mr. Pattinson played a randy Salvador Dali (and filmed before “Twilight”), barely registered a blip in limited release last year”.

C’mon Brooke Barnes – the internet is at your fingertips – you can’t tell me it’s that difficult to research.  I mean I’m just going to ignore the embarassing Cedric Diggory comment because it’s really embarassing that you call yourself a journo with that gaffe.  I think you also need to speak to the people involved with Remember Me – they don’t consider it a box office failure.  And leading “roles” outside of Twilight.  Well Little Ashes was a small indie film that got very limited release worldwide and was not even heavily promoted and really “randy” – I hope that’s a euphemism for gay in the US because in Australia that’s not what it means and he was hardly “randy” in the film.  Oh I could go on and on, but I won’t.  Enjoy the pics everyone and if you really want to read the article, just click on the highlighted link, although I think that first expression says it all – how Rob hasn’t snapped is a testament to him.

Just read it, Maria. What a croc! All the interviews I’ve ever seen with Rob he is nothing but gracious, generous and accommodating despite some of the repetitive and often not well thought out questions. I’m sure he would love to use some of his “Emma” wit with some of these journos but refrains because he is such a gentleman. Especially at the moment as he looks so tired and in need of a break.

PS: RM made $56m and DJ $111m BUT how many more cinemas was DJ in!! RM was hardly a failure when it was made for $16m though. She got that wrong….!

I totally agree, the entire thing was ridiculous.
    Can you say “jealous”?

Yes well there is some advice I could offer that journo about what to do but alas you girls would have to edit it. :]

I know @Robbie – RM actually made USD57.5 million and it wasn’t even promoted like the other film. The people involved with RM don’t consider it a failure – in fact, they are extremely happy with the box office results. I think Brooke is a guy – kind of explains it really. And this is why we rarely post any written interviews – much better to just watch Rob in an interview because then we know he’s actually said it.

OMG does this Brooks Barnes actually expect us to take him seriously?? I too laughed out loud at the stupidity of his comments, the Harry Potter one *shakes head til it can be shook no more* Grrrrr!! Is a wonder you didn’t try to tell us Rob played Harry Potter.

Oh & don’t get me started on his ‘his leading roles outside of “Twilight” have disappointed or failed at the box office’ comment. Seriously how the hell is RM a failure? Anyone with eyes can see how brilliant it is & how brilliant it has done. All involved with the film are extremely happy & proud of how well it’s done as they should be. The Little Ashes comments *shakes head til it can be shook no more once again* Grrrrrr! Admit it Brooks – you did absolutely zero research for this ‘article’ & haven’t got a clue about Rob’s work or who he is as a person. Thanks for being the perfect example of why I never believe a single thing that is written in the printed word. Agree Maria, absolute testament to Rob that he hasn’t well & truly snapped. I know I would have! Ah the pics – now they are absolutely gorgeous. Shame they have to be associated with such rubbish.

@Maria – Like Rob said to Emma – there really is no accounting for bad taste! Can’t wait for RM DVD release – really close now.

Terrible, terrible interview!! Aargh Mr Pattinson this and Mr Pattinson that- come on how annoying and get your facts right girl! Poor Rob having to sit thro that crap!

These interviews should be screened more appropriatley to preserve Rob’s sanity

Obviously this poor excuse for a journalist has not seen RM or they could never have called it a failure. The article is embarrassing for Brooke as it proves she’s got no idea what she’s talking about. If I had the actual articleon paper I would use it on the bottom of my birdcage. Exactly where this rubbish belongs!!! The pics on the other hand are gorgeous, the only redeeming quality!!

It’s okay, girls. Like I said, actions speak louder than words and that Oscar is coming. Perhaps we’ll have to remind her of this article then….

Does Tall Poppy sound familiar. He’s only 24 and done a handful of movies. Would there be any other celebrity as universally popular and loved – ever – which means more than what any PRINT interview says? Wonder what she’d be like if she’d been an interviewer as many times as Rob’s been interviewed especially on one film alone?

Thanks for the warning Maria I am not even going to read it, not worth my time or patience. People like this really are an embarressment to the profession. Shall spend the extra time enjoying the photos instead.

This interview tells us more about the author (I won’t use the term Journalist for this)
    than the subject.
I’m with you Maria and Lisa Lou – I’m not clicking on that link.
    Very, very nice pics though
