Gratuitous Remember Me Post

Ok I’ll admit I just want to brag that I’ve now seen it and will be seeing it again and again and again.  Robert is Fan’Fn’Tastic as Tyler -I had high expectations for him and well he exceeded them.  He seriously did.  No spoilers – because it’s just not fair, but I am in love with Rob & Ruby and when you see this film – which you all will right – you will understand.  Again, please no spoilers in the comments if you’ve seen it – let’s be fair to everyone who hasn’t otherwise I will delete and you might get upset.  Um and that’s not a challenge – believe me.

Maria couldn’t agree wit u more. I fell in love with all over again (if there is such a thing). He is fantastic and I wish this movie is a big blockbuster for him. My husband kept rolling his eyes every time I groaned ever so softly when Tyler was on screen. (There was a lot of groaning actually if I look back now.) How could u not fall in love with him. **Sigh**

I saw it too (I was actually at the same cinema as you – small world).
Rob was absolutely breathtaking. Everything and more than I ever imagined. This movie now owns me for sure.
And yes, his parts with Ruby were beautiful.
Cant wiat to see it again …and again, and again, and again 🙂

Thanks so much Maria for filling us in on some non spoilery details. Appreciate it so so much & it makes the wait til tomorrow just that bit easier. I just absolutely CANNOT wait to see the film tomorrow. Just ONE more sleep 😀 😀 😀 Cannot wait to see Rob & Ruby together. I know I am going to just absolutely adore them. Cannot wait to see Rob as Tyler, just cannot!

No no way – are you serious – where were you sitting? I was the loud one – did you see me – ahahaha

    Maria

    • March 10, 2010 at 11:00 pm

@Sonya – Tyler is beautiful. Rob is exceptional in this role – and I’m not being biased. I had two friends with me who are not huge Rob fans and they both agreed that the film was phenomenal – they are going to see it again and that Rob – well you just can’t appreciate Rob’s talent in Twilight since he is limited by the script, but I suppose if you have been following us on long enough you would already know that we think that. No offence he’s the best Eddie ever but Tyler is a whole different ball game.

Hahaha you’re too funny Maria but I think Jayde was referring to me. I met a girl sitting in the same row as me and I asked here how she heard about the screening tonight and she said by your website. Hahahaha. I could just picture u in the cinema being the loud one.

Oh – haha – our cinema showed the wrong film which I picked from the opening credit since um yes Dune Films not involved with RM. Hahah – so stormed out of cinema and said to girl – ah you said RM was in cinema 8 but you are showing another film. She says “no cinema 8 is definitely RM”. I said you might want to check what is on projector because I’m telling you there ain’t no Rob. Hahaha. It was Percy whatever.

I couldn’t agree with you more. He sure is phenomenal and u really can’t even put him in the same category as Edward. Even though I am a Twilight fan but tonight Rob has really shown me a different side to himself. I have yet to see his other movies but hopefully very very soon.

Lucky, lucky girls. I’m going to bed now to have my much anticipated Details Rob time. That will also mean 1 less sleep till Friday. That’s my T day.

We had a problem tonight as well. It started off okay and then 5 mins in and their heads were chopped off and my hubby went out to tell them and next thing u know full screen again. I was a little cheesed off but never mind I will be seeing again but by myself as hubby wont come again even though he said he enjoyed the movie a lot.

@Carmel my hubby thought he was going to be the only male tonight but 2 more rocked up. Believe me when I tell you there was even ladies much older than me and I’m over 35.

Oh @Sonya – I didn’t know you’ve not seen him in anything other than Twilight. Seroiusly – the day he finishes with that saga I might throw a little party. Of all his film roles – they are my least favourite. You need to see him in Haunted Airman, How To Be and of coures Little Ashes – which I have to say – Rob’s Dali is still my fave – but that doesn’t mean I don’t love Tyler – it’s just in a different way.

Great film! Surprised to see only about 10 people in my screening though!! I rocked up sooo early, expecting a line!! Haha

I’m waiting for them to arrive. A friend of mine is sending them to me but I have yet to receive them. Hubby promised to get in contact with him tomorrow. I’ve also seen him in Harry Potter and liked him in this as well but soon forgot about him until I saw him in the Twilight movies. I’ve seen the trailers to his other movies and he is such a wonderful actor. I can’t wait to see his others. I believe Summer house is getting released in October so I can’t wait for that either. But I love Rob because he is Rob and not Edward. From the pics that I’ve seen posted so far from Bel Ami well I just can’t wait to see him in that role. He is going to be brilliant.

    Maria

    • March 10, 2010 at 11:51 pm

@Sonya – The Summerhouse is a 14 mins short film – not a full length. I’m not sure why everyone is going crazy over that – we may never see it. We have heard so many different stories about that film for over the last 14 months. Where are you waiting for them to come from? Haunted Airman and How To Be can be bought in Australia at JB Hi Fi. Little Ashes will be released here in April – also available at JB Hi Fi. Um we love Rob because he’s Rob too but you all already know that.

Hi @Ali – I don’t think Hoyts advertised it well and they wouldn’t let you buy tickets at the box office without purchasing online first. So so weird. It’s like they didn’t want people to see the film. The weird thing is that I got an email from Hoyts this afternoon advising me that I could see advanced screening of RM tonite at 7pm. No …. sherlock. Perhaps Hoyts you should have sent that email out on Monday to give people a chance.

I BELIEVE IN TYLER and feel so much richer having seen this movie.

The cinematography was abundant with goodness and like Maria, I’ve completely fallen in love with Rob and Ruby, their onscreen pairing is outstanding. The entire casting is spot on and a huge *thumbs up* to Pierce.
I knew Rob was going to be amazing in this film based on previous performances and what I’d seen in clips etc. What I was not expecting was that I could still be floored by how much he’s developed and honed his craft in the past couple of years. Seeing Rob invest so much of himself into the Tyler character has really shone through – his range not only diverse, but mindblowing.

I am going to tell everyone I know to watch this film, it was really well done IMO and the one who came with.
That’s pretty much all I can say at the moment without spoiling or waffling on etc.

Enjoy everyone. Can’t wait to go again. 🙂

p.s. waves to the giggling girls that sat behind me. Some of those giggles were not cool or called for. Yes it’s me, the one who went all scarey on your asses.

Oh @Vertigo I so wish I was there to see that. I am happy to report no screamers at my screening – thank God because I seriously think they are part of the reason people avoid Rob’s films. Oh and to the two girls in the foyer who couldn’t decide what film and said “forget Remember Me’ – your loss sweethearts – your loss because this film is PHENOMENAL in all respects. Yes Tina imagine when we’ve all seen it and can actually reminisce about favourite scenes. Mine are ….. sorry but I guess I was just here to tease you!

Ah Rob – I feel like a proud parent – and as Tina says – you have honed your skills and yet there is still more to come. Brilliant performances by all and Rob you really do deserve every accolade bestowed on you for this film. As Vertigo said to me before – I hope you are working out your acceptance speech because it will not be far away.

    • March 11, 2010 at 12:24 am

@Maria I know they are available from JB Hi Fi but unfortunately I cannot buy everything I want I have a little boy and a mortgage. I got made redundant wile on Maternity leave and hubby works 7 days, so buying DVD’s are a luxury that have to be bought for a birthday present or Christmas pressie so I was going to borrow them from a friend and since he as left where hubby works it’s hard to contact him and he promised to bring them weeks ago. So I just have to wait 🙁

    Maria

    • March 11, 2010 at 12:25 am

Hahaha @Vertigo – I know, sometimes you just have to let it go and to be honest – Rob deserves better than them.

You girls are soooo lucky to have seen the movie last night. By the awesome comments I can see you all have enjoyed it and I didn’t expect less.
I could not sleep last night I was so hyped up after being on RPAU and started reading the first posts after the movie, I had to drag myself to bed, otherwise I probably would’ve stayed up all night.
I am seing RM tomorrow night and it can not come soon enough 🙂

    Maria

    • March 11, 2010 at 7:30 am

@Lids – I was so hyped I’ve only had about 4 hrs sleep – not sure how I’m going to function at work today. I joked last night that I work 2 blocks away from Hoyts in George Street – hmm wonder if work will notice me missing for 2 hours – really I had a client meeting – I really did – hahaha. I’m not hyping the film up – Rob’s performance left me breathless and I’m not talking about the state we are all usually in when we see his photoshoots 😀
