The Rome Theme Continues …
I thought we might need a little pick me up this afternoon so here’s two of my favourite pics of Rob at the Melbooks signing in Rome last October. I’m pretty sure although he looks kind of relaxed in the first pic this is where he almost cried because of the screaming.  People you need to realise what you are doing to this man. Seriously, he is a man first not one of those collectible Eddie dolls nor someone that owes us anything. Rob needs to be respected. I’m sure for some it won’t matter as you move onto the next big thing, don’t take it personally, that’s just how life is, but for me and I know quite a few of our regulars, if this man gives away acting I will be crushed. Sorry will get off my soapbox now – just a few things have really infuriated me. Lol just realised I may have put a damper on the pick me up – but it needed to be said.

Thanks so much for these gorgeous photos Maria, the perfect pick me up for this afternoon.
Agree with you on everything as you know. How these people can treat Rob like this I just do not understand at all. They all need to stop & ask themselves how they would feel if they were constantly screamed at, harrassed & had all these demands put upon them. Is very safe to say that they would hate it, so why on earth do they treat Rob like this. He is a human being, he has feelings like us all & he deserves respect. He doesn’t owe us anything & people really do need to realise this & stop expecting so much from him. He is so very kind to his fans & so giving, why can’t they appreciate that.
There are his true fans, like many of our regulars here that truly care for this man, want him to be happy & just hate seeing him put through these horrible situations. Like Maria said, if Rob was to give away acting we would just be truly crushed but at the same time completely understand. Rob has so much talent & is such a special & beautiful person & just deserves to be treated so so much better than a lot of people are treating him. They really do just anger me beyond words.

No damper here Maria, what needs to be said gets said and we end up in the company of my other fave Rome Rob goodies to top it off. Just look at his gorgeousness… and sigh again.
The first pic is very much a bitter sweet moment and Rob seems to be doing extremely well considering the possible lunacy – so yeah, get a grip on yourselves to the screamers, we need to see Rob fulfil his long term career objectives thanks – he’s not going to hear a damn thing through all the kafuffle anyway. There’s such a thing as selective hearing and I’d say he’s discovered it’s arts at this stage to save from going insane (Rob did mention he switches the brain off at such times). I know I would.

I absolutely agree with the three of you! Rob needs a heap more R.E.S.P.E.C.T. – if people love him so much they should not be screaming and treating him in an inhumane way!
In i way i hope he does escape this craziness even if if means stopping his career, I just want him to be happy. Sad but true.

@Louise I agree with you totally. What Michelle and I both want for him is for him to be happy. People claim to love him, yet they have unreal expectations and make demands from him as if he owes it to us. Noone asked for you to be his fan (not you personally Louise – I”m talking generally). He said in the ET interview “It’s quite difficult because when you see all these people you think in one way or another you have to please them because the scream is like a scream of wanting & I don’t know what people want.” (Thanks Michelle for finding me this exact quote). That’s right Rob – who knows what they want and why they want it. More often it’s for their own ego massaging and not really about you. If it was about you, then they wouldn’t bitch and moan about every little thing that you do whether it’s the clothes you wear or personal life. And I’m not saying we have to agree with everything he does, but we really should give him benefit of the doubt and acknowledge that it’s his life. I imagine if we were all followed 24/7 then perhaps our dress sense or life choices would also be questioned. The fact that I said I will be crushed doesn’t mean I won’t respect whatever decision he makes, but I will miss his talent because we are only scratching the surface at the moment and it’s already bloody good.
Oh @Vertigo – I’m glad we could help with what sounds like not a great day. It’s a shame I can’t fix Rob’s days so easily.

Beautifully said Maria, I agree with you 100%.
When people worry about his clothes or whatever and all these petty little things it shows how superficial his “followers” are. Shouldn’t they love the talented and amazing person behind the clothes. People should stop comparing him to the cleches of fame and celebrity-ism because Rob isn’t that, he is a man doing his job.
I get so fired up and passionate about this! GAH,

LOL you think you get fired up. Well it’s good thtat you know you can come here with like minded people. I’m just in the process of changing Current Mood pic because “cheeky” is not how I’m feeling at the moment. And yes it’s so true – the reason we love Rob is because he’s not the Hollywood cliche and never will be – after all he says he has to be on the inside of Hollywood in order to try to change it.

Agree 100% Louise. Why on earth does it matter what clothes Rob wears, if they truly cared about Rob, the man himself they would never be so rude & disrespectful to him. Personally I see absolutely nothing wrong with what he wears, he wears what he likes & what he feels comfortable in. It is no one else’s business what he chooses to wear. What do they expect him to do, ask each of them each day what he is to wear. I get so so fired up as well & cannot express how much they annoy me. Why can’t these people appreciate Rob for the truly beautiful, kind, warm, intelligent & talented man that he is. Are they stupid, are they blind. I just do not understand them at all. Seriously, these people need to take a damn long hard look at themselves. Definitely, one of the reasons why we love Rob is because he is himself, he is not like all those other Hollywood types & never ever will be nor do we want him to be. We love him just the way he is, is a shame that these certain other people cannot feel the same way. They are definitely the ones who are missing out.

Michelle – I think I have rubbed off on you – we are supposed to be good cop/bad cop. But when its about Rob and the ensuing crap then I definitely can justify bad cop/bad cop!

Maria, I love the current mood, i think it sums up the way a lot of us are feeling right now.
And Michelle, i agree with you completely, People who expect Rob to be something he would never succumbing to, are missing out on his brilliance! I think it shows how superficial the world is becoming.
P.s. Thank the lord there is this site with people who respect rob and his rights and allow their followers to vent as well. 🙂 cheers

Second, completely agree with everything you girls have already said!
M&M you already know I am in complete agreeance on all of this stuff and really hope that Rob is able to hang in there until all the crazies move on to the next “thing” and he can continue to focus on whatever he wants to do that makes him happy.
Must be so hard to deal with what he is currently dealing with but I really think he handles himself with so much dignity and class.
