France Cannes Inglourious Basterds Red Carpet

I came across this little article in Variety dated 19 May that basically gives us a tiny bit more information on some of the roles Rob has planned in the next few months.  As at that date, the female lead for Remember Me was yet to be cast.  Rob is quoted as saying:  “The girl needs to be literally inspirational,” said Pattinson of a catalytical element of the film. …  “I have no qualms saying that she’s a genius,” Pattinson laughed, adding that the script really connected with him when he first read it — even some of the dialogue sounded “the way I speak.”

Considering Remember Me is suppose to start shooting in 4 to 5 weeks, Emmy Rossum must be feeling a little miffed that perhaps she’s not confirmed for the role (hell who wouldn’t be).  I wonder though if she was ever seriously in contention or perhaps they are just trying to throw us off – who knows, but they are seriously starting to run out of time.  Oh and another good thing about this article, Hoyts have picked up the film for Australia – they better not do a Kojo Pictures on us or there will be trouble.  You can read the full article here.

Maria, what you said about not pulling a Kojo Pictures on us! I might well commit murder, this time…
