I absolutely adore the beautiful pics from the NY Remember Me Press Conference, so thought I’d share a few of my faves that we haven’t seen for a while.  Hope you’re all enjoying Boxing Day.  I’ve had a very relaxing one – it has been heaven!  Thanks to our friends & elite affie Robert Pattinson Source for these ones.

I still remember Clint from Moviehole’s initial review of Remember Me which we posted back on 28 Feb, and so I’m not surprised the film made it to his Top Ten Films of 2010, what I am surprised at is – why isn’t it on everyone’s list?

“10. Remember Me

I remember getting an Atari for my 10^th birthday. That was a big surprise. When I caught the top of those tiny ted joysticks atop of their black spongy controls, I knew my entry into double figure land was going to be one to remember. Wanna know what a bigger surprise was? ”Remember Me”! This truly out Gorfed Gorf and Swallowed Pac Man hole in terms of pleasant surprises – I kid you not. Say what you will about his sparkling work in those vampire pics, Robert Pattinson delivers one of the richest and most weighty performances of any actor this year with his uneasy son and lover at the center of director Allen Coulter’s love letter to 9/11 (yes, there is such a thing). Catch it on DVD – you’ll find it, unjustly, at the ‘bottom’ of the new releases shelf.”

Thanks to our elite affie Spunk Ransom for the tip about the above article and whilst I was at Moviehole I noticed this other article that Clint posted a few days ago – 10 Great Films You Missed in 2010.  Clint isn’t lying – he really was suprrised by Rob’s performance:

I know, I know, ‘but it’s got that guy with more gunk in his hair than Liz Hurley does in her nether regions’ but c’mon! many-a-good-actor have started out in the cinematic mailroom and graduated to an awe-impressive high-rise suite – just look at Robin ‘Mork’ Williams, Josh ‘Goonies’ Brolin, Tom ‘Bosom Buddies’ Hanks or Stephen ‘Evil Ed’ Geoffries! (Ok, bad example) – ain’t Robert Pattinson innocent until the gavel slams down!? This film, a heartrending relationship drama (it’s both about the rapport between a young couple and also one between a young man and his estranged father) that played to the tick of a 9/11 countdown, proved there’s much more to “Twilight” vamp Robert Pattinson than blank stares, sparkles and tree hopping. Quite simply, Pattinson was an eye-opener in this film. Skeptics need see it.”

Yes skeptics – open your eyes and look at the performance – you can no longer hide behind your ignorance.

I think Clint has a slight man crush on Rob – understandable really.  Thanks Clint for looking past Edward.  If you want to see what the other films on Clint’s lists are, then you know the drill.

Well it is when Rob does some portraits there and well I was feeling kind of generous today seeing as it’s Christmas – so here’s my version of Rob’s portraits.  Hope all that are celebrating had an amazing day.  The weather in Sydney was perfect … like Rob.

Well it’s always been a tradition in my family to open at least one gift on Christmas Eve – so here’s my present to all of you.  Hope you all have a wonderful time with friends and family.  Not long now …

Well it’s true since I had to hold back on posting certain beauties during Sunday’s pic challenge.  Ok and I can’t stop singing that song since Saturday either, sue me.

In feeling they deserve to be shared,  here are a few Rob’s that only due to the toss of a 20 cent coin (not physically ok),  didn’t make it into the ring.  Ding ding ding!

“Massively Underrated: Youth in Revolt / Remember Me
Youth in Revolt was an innovative comedy, but it was released during a time period where people skip the theatrical experience. And if Remember Me had featured Ryan Gosling instead of Robert Pattinson it would have been correctly hailed as great. But people got far too caught up in the ending and Pattinson’s celebrity to catch that he was really freaking good in this movie. Definitely worth a watch if you you’re a fan of relationship dramas.” (My emphasis)

Rob listed at no. 6 on Forbes.com list of Hollywood’s Highest Grossing Actors for 2010:

“#6 Robert Pattinson $749 million – The Twilight films have been perennial earners, so it’s no surprise to see Pattinson on this list.  He ranks above his costar Kristen Stewart thanks to Remember Me, a weepy romance that earned a healthy $56 million on an estimated budget of $16 million. Pattinson’s next film is an adaptation of the bestselling book Water for Elephants.” 

Well it seems that Forbes did in fact “remember” Rob thanks to the box office takings for Remember Me.  If you want to see who else is on the list, then click on the hyperlink above – he’s in some pretty good company that’s for sure.  In case you want to know how Forbes compiles its list: 

“In Hollywood it’s all about the box office. If your film brings in big bucks, expect producers, studios and casting directors to come calling. Here are the actors whose films grossed the most in 2010. We gave each star credit for the entire global box office of each film he or she starred in. We didn’t count animated movies.  For the sake of this list, we’re only looking at box office gross. We looked at the earnings for the top films of the year and credited each star the entire box office. So if an actor starred in two big movies (like DiCaprio did) he got credit for both. We did not include animated films, although they were some of the top-earning of the year, because the stars aren’t really the big draw for those films.”

It’s a slow day and believe me it’s not been a good one for me, so I thought I’d turn it around and have a little vote for Rob.  BuzzSugar wants to know:

So don’t wait – vote here - I did and Rob’s killing it at the moment.   Ooh and I love that Rob is there with Mr Darcy and how sweet, Andrew is right next to him.  Hmm I think I prefer this photo of Rob and Andrew only because he’s sandwiched between Rob and TomStu which is WIN!  Hahaha.

Well it does when there’s a pic of Rob wearing his sunnies to keep it off his eyes.  Awww Vertigo why don’t you make it impossible you said sunnies not button jeans, black tshirt *pouts* no fair.  Okay here’s  my  choice – I of course threw in Woody Harrelson as Rob’s security – hahaha well it’s gotta pay better than the movies he doesn’t seem to be appearing in right.  Even Rob’s raised his eyebrows wondering why Woody is there.  No okay – it’s not Woody but it looks like him doesn’t it.  I love Rob in his John Varvatos almost as much as the Clubmasters, Wayfarers …
