The best-selling issue from the Jan/Jun 2010 rate base period, this sexy cover sold 67,000 copies…33% more than their overall average for the statement.  It also sold 14% more copies than the same time slot in 2009.   I’m sure the 10th Anniversary sky bar didn’t hurt the sale either.

According to ASME copy, “Details wanted to, in the words of photographer Norman Jean Roy, transform Pattinson from “teen-idol vampire boy into a more adult version of himself.” To achieve that, creative director Rockwell Harwood decided to rent a gothic mansion outside of Los Angeles, hire several female models who were willing to spend an entire day naked and dress a 23-year-old British heartthrob in high-end designer clothing.”.

I know I speak for the majority of us when I say how much I love this shoot.  Seriously how anyone could not appreciate the beauty and tastefulness of this shoot I will never understand. Three Twilight movies with three brilliant performances from Rob – which to choose?? In the end I decided to go with one of my many fave scenes from Twilight, the movie where we were first introduced to the brilliance that is Rob as Edward Cullen. Now being a Rob fan I had no prior knowledge of Edward Cullen, didn’t even know this character existed nor the Twilight books so read them as soon as Rob was cast so I was ready for the movie. I fell in love with Rob’s Edward, he played this complex character so brilliantly, put so much thought, detail & effort into portraying him & as he always does, delivered an outstanding performance. I have said it a million times before & I will say it again, no one – yes NO ONE could have ever played this character as wonderfully as Rob. Anyone that ever doubted him – well you all know what I think of you!! OK now onto the scene, there are so many Rob moments that I love in this scene. He plays the nervousness/awkwardness of Edward showing Bella his room for the first time brilliantly, you can tell how much of a big deal this is for him. Edward has been so closed off for so many years & now he is beginning to let someone into his life. It’s not only a boy opening his life up to a girl, but a vampire bringing a human that he loves but wants to kill at the same time, into his world. Rob conveys every single one of these emotions that Edward is experiencing perfectly. I also have to mention how much I love the part of this scene with Edward & Bella sitting in the tree, such a lovely moment between the two with the lullaby playing in the background which then of course leads to us seeing Rob himself play it on the piano *sigh* Another reason I love this scene so much – Rob playing the piano. I cannot tell you how much I LOVE seeing him play – just so beautiful. Will leave my commentary there now & let you all enjoy – I could go on forever when Rob is concerned, a fact that you are all very aware of by now haha!

Ah Edward, how I adore you!  To help celebrate Rob’s brilliant portrayal of Edward Cullen, thought today I would share with you all some of my fave gorgeous pics from the three Twilight movies in the form of a montage. Enjoy everyone, I know how much I loved putting this together. Only problem was, 3 movies so many pics & which to choose. LOL I think you can tell from the size of my montage that I left more in than I did out. As if there is any other way!!

Clearly the readers of Portrait Magazine are very very smart people.  Rob has came in at #6 on their ’20 Most Beautiful People Inside & Out’ list.  Rob is of course extremely beautiful on the outside, but the reason why I love him the most is because of the extremely beautiful, kind, sweet, gracious & down to earth person that he is on the inside.  As we have said many times before, he is truly one of a kind – a rare & precious gem in this world.  Here is an extract from the magazine article that echoes what I have just said:

“But there is definitely more to Rob than his looks, he’s very down to earth, polite and charming and treats his fans with the respect they deserve”

I know I’ve said this before, but I truly hope everyone appreciates just how very special Rob is & appreciates how kind & gracious he is to each & every person that he meets.  I always have & always will. What an amazing week it has been celebrating Rob as Salvador Dali, I have enjoyed every single minute of it & we still have one more treat to share with you all.  Maria has put together this wonderful video which features six more of the scenes that blew us away. Enjoy everyone & of course tomorrow we will begin celebrating another of Rob’s brilliant roles.   Hmm who could it be? *smiles*

Exciting news for Rob’s US fans – Love & Distrust which as we know is the DVD compilation which features The Summer House, is now available for pre-order on Amazon.com with a release date of November 2 2010.  I cannot tell you how excited I was when my DVD arrived back in August.  Finally being able to add Rob as the beautiful Richard to my collection was just brilliant.  As always, if we hear any news about an Australian release, we will of course let you know.

What better way to end our Thursday here in Oz than with some Rob faves.  Even though I have seen these beautiful pics too many times to count, Rob still takes my breath away each & every time.
