I’ve seen this pic on a few of our affiliates sites this morning - Thinking of Rob and pattinsonlife (thanks for the big clicky version guys), but I actually saw it last night on rpattzdaily - it was their “pic of the day” - so I think they all need some credit for bringing this pic to us. I agree guys - I can’t recall seeing this one either, but it looks circa 05/06 going from condition of shirt - although he was wearing that jacket at the Uniglo launch in 2007 - Rob you are trying to trick us I know.
What better way to start Wednesday than a closeup of Rob. I just love Mark Peterson’s photoshoot from way back in November 2005. How gorgeous is this man - Rob I mean not Mark. Pippa if the IB photo I posted this morning makes your troubles go away, this pic will definitely make you forget that you even had any. Hmm not sure why I didn’t include this version in the September monthly pic choice - I think I may have had a brain explosion and forgot that I had it! This with Rob Rug - I am officially dead! (oh I’m looking for “big clicky” because this is the only size I have - will update if I find one).
It’s Tuesday and we need a shot of solo Rob and I just adore this one of him at the Inglorius Basterds premiere in Cannes. And thanks to our wonderful affiliate Robert Pattinson Source - Balina you always have great pics - it’s definitely HQ. Oh and thanks Eddie for the inspiration for the title of the post - because I can’t hear or think of that phrase without hearing your voice - lol. Oops did I say that out loud.
Michelle - we asked for some more outtakes last night before signing off - well it’s not really what we were expecting but it’s Comic-Con EW photoshoot in HQ or as we like to call it “big clicky action”. Yep I think Rob’s pretty much over the whole thing by now
And I’m not talking about the beer in Portland. MTV’s Larry Carroll recently interviewed Chris Weitz about, what else, but New Moon. He calls the article “New Moon Director Finds The Cure for Rob Pattinson Withdrawal” (like that is even possible) but believe it or not, it’s actually not a bad article. For example:
“MTV: You’re in the unenviable position of needing to stay true to the source material but also needing to find more screen time for one of the world’s biggest movie stars. How did you go about doing that?
Weitz: [We wanted to avoid] just randomly inserting Rob throughout the movie in a back-at-the-ranch sort of way, which would just be about box office and us being worried about whether people would deal with the darkness of the second book. People are actually very ready for [the dark] aspect of it. What we basically did was to take the aural hallucinations that Bella has of Edward and turn them into visual hallucinations. But I wanted to do them very subtly — so that it wasn’t whacking you over the head with CGI — and to give you the sense that you have when you are broken up with and when you are really longing for someone. They are both not there at all and there all the time. And so, the notion that you have of someone’s presence as absence is what we’re portraying. You’ll see quite a lot of Rob in the film, but it’s seen subjectively, through Bella’s eyes. It’s also in dreams that she has of him as well. It strikes this very fine balance between too much Rob and too little Rob.
MTV: For a lot of fans, there’s no such thing.
Weitz: Well, I know for a lot of people there’s no such thing as too much Rob. But we’ve got a nice dose of Taylor to sweeten any Rob deficiencies. It is a disease that can only be treated with Vitamin T, for Taylor. “
Too much Rob???? Chris at least you acknowledge that it’s just not possible for too much Rob - we need our daily dose of Vitamin R which is far better for us than Vitamin T. With Rob on that rug because let’s face it, I think it’s the best pic we have seen in awhile and that is saying something considering the beauties we have seen over the last few months. I don’t even think Clocktower Rob or Rome Rob can compete with it. It’s sacrilege I know and even I can’t believe I’ve just said that. Anyway, I thought I would share some of my favourite shots of Rob modelling for the Hackett catalogue in 2007. Oh and don’t ask me why some of the pics have that blue line across the bottom, I’m not sure, but at least it’s not a watermark or across his face. Presto - two pics of Rob at MTV Movie Awards that I know I haven’t posted. I’m pretty sure I was holding off in case of quiet times because I knew they would be coming with Eclipse - lol. The profile shots get me every time.
As I was sifting through the vintage pics I came across this vid of Rob at Collectormania that I thought tied in perfectly with Michelle’s earlier post. So thanks to YouTube user evahpd here’s a very short clip of “classic” Rob - how great is his laugh (Sare you will love this). Although I’m more than happy that Rob’s not being pimped out for New Moon, I truly do miss his interviews.
