The Robert Pattinson Career Makeover Playbook in the April edition of New York Magazine

“Legit Actor” – no kidding.  Not sure about defining these directors as “weirdos” though.  I also don’t think 7 was necessary. That’s their assumption and I’m not sure how they came to that conclusion to be honest – but of course the media still loves to play devil’s advocate - both have successful post-Twi careers they should just leave it at that.

They also had a list of things to do in New York and included seeing “The Lost City of Z” – extract below.

Whenever career news is good for Rob, there seems to arise some attempt to savage him. “Weirdo” directors? Kristen Stewart has “elicited performances of a quality Pattinson has yet to match?” This opinion is not borne out when comparing actual legitimate reviews of their performances. He fawns over Kristen in other articles and then brings her into a Rob piece to make some nasty irrelevant point.

@Memyselfi – I wasn’t aware of his articles on Vulture, but someone else brought it to my attention so now that irrelevant end point makes sense – well in context of his devotion.

Agree that N7 is so unnecessary. No relevance whatsoever.

In the context of boring Hollywood blockbusters, give me the those ‘Weirdo’ directors doing something original every day of the week.

I actually think every one of the 7 points were off/could have been worded more accurately. Any of us here at RPAU could have come up with a better description of Rob’s journey. Of course, ours would have started pre-Twilight and reflected on his many achievements to date, ending with When The World Finally Caught Up.
Of course, I do always appreciate any article that has Rob pics, so there is that!

All valid points @Sue and I totally agree – people forget about Little Ashes and Goblet of Fire. Sure Twilight established a wider fanbase for him, but I noticed Rob in The Haunted Airman which I saw pre-Twilight. I especially like your “When The World Finally Caught Up” and agree re Rob pics!
