I bloody well hope so.  According to Cafe Bilingue’s Facebook:

“Child casting cinema for Brady Corbet, THE CHILDHOOD OF A LEADER’s first film, produced by the British company Unanimous Entertainment, we are looking for: A little boy between 6 and 9 years, bilingual in French and in English, to play the lead role.

To participate in the casting, please send photos and contact information … his parents will be played by Juliette Binoche and Tim Roth.

The film will turn this summer.”

And Sue, Cindy or Carmel even if you get Jules to work her magic on the photos you submit when you turn up they’ll realise you are not a little boy between 6 and 9 lol.

And more confirmation from 123Castings:

Sorry about my lack of knowledge about this but do we know what role Rob would play?

@silvie I think there is speculation that Rob will be the older version of this child they are casting, but not much information has been given about his role. IMDbPro doesn’t mention any character names as yet, but as soon as we know we will update 🙂

Alas @Maria, you know us so well……

Okay, so here’s my back-up plan. Work with me here. I have a 7 yr old, nearly 8. So far, so good. Now, said 7 yr old is a SHE, but a little hair-cut and some boy-clothes, I reckon I’ve solved THAT little problem. (Might still need a little help from Jules LOL) As for the bi-lingual bit? I knew my 8 years of studying French would come in handy for SOMETHING during my lifetime. A month or two of intensive immersion french, she…..oops, I mean HE, will be set.

Hell, I even think I could get HIM looking like Juliette Binoche’s child, if push comes to shove ……..

Well, has anyone got any BETTER ideas?????

Plastic surgery… gender re-assignment surgery… hormone therapy… oh, that’s right. It’s your CHILD. No, no you can’t do that, Sue. Shit, I wish I’d bothered to have children… Can I borrow one?

Ha! @Sue I knew someone would have a solution

@Maria. Not much of a solution, I’m afraid. For some reason my daughter doesn’t WANT to even PRETEND to be a boy ~ go figure! My cousin’s 7 yr old boy is bilingual German/English? Bummer, that’s as close as I can get.

@Trish. I had never actually considered surgery or hormone therapy. I’m now thinking that perhaps it’s for the best that YOU don’t have an 8 yr old girl, she could be in REAL trouble! LMAO

@Maria – ( takes one to know one) – Damn it! You are right, though 🙁
