According to Vicky Roach, Film Writer for News Limited here in Aus:

“A Sundance Film Festival launch is a strong possibility for The Rover , director David Michod’s hotly-anticipated follow-up to Animal Kingdom, the internationally-acclaimed film about a Melbourne crime family that bagged Jacki Weaver an Oscar nomination.”

I’ve always thought that Michod would wait for Sundance.  This article is dated 8 August – somehow I missed it.  I blame #DiorRob.

    Thanks for taking the fall, Sue – I was going to ask the exact same question only much more frantically with lots of !!!!!! in it. Thanks for enlightening, Michelle. Saved me the trouble of Googling it! Let’s cross every available digit (toes included) that this is fact not wishful thinking. Maria, can forgive you just about anything, dear!

    Thanks @Michelle. I know I could have googled it, but I thought there might have been a couple of us wondering the same thing, and knew you wouldn’t mind enlightening us all at the same time.

    That said, fingers crossed. Would be a great way to kick off the new year.
