IMDBPro has changed the status of The Rover to “Filming” & “In Production”.  We knew that, but it’s always good to see it in print right.  I’ve also included the cast list as it stands apparently.  Please don’t tell me how inaccurate IMDBPro is – it’s not the same as the free IMDB and I’m not claiming it as gospel but industry does use it.  And here’s my Public Service Announcement:  I know there are people planning on stalking Rob whilst he’s filming in South Australia.  I’m going to sound like a broken record, but you need to bear this in mind – there’s a lot to be done on a film set in a short space of time – this is a relatively small budget film and Rob’s not the only cast member – any disruptions will have an affect and I mean any.  Having seen how hideous the media and some stalkers have been in the last week – it would be great if Rob leaves Australia with a positive experience (although I’m not really sure how that’s going to happen given the behaviour of some and he’s only been here for a week).

*applauds* well said – everything. I am SO excited for him finally getting to start this project he’s obviously been so looking forward to. I would HATE that he goes away with any bad memories….here’s hoping he can really be allowed to do his work and we will reap the rewards later 🙂

Good luck to everyone involved in this movie – I can’t wait to see anything they want to share with us later. 🙂 Go Rob go!!!! <3

Hi Kim – the SA media have gone insane – I guess not much happens in Adelaide and I was told by one of them that Rob being there is BIG news. They’ve pretty much been tweeting saying “RPatz hunting” tell us when/where you’ve seen him. It’s disgusting. And it seems to be the same suspects who stalked him at the airport are always someone involved in the “hunting” but hey they aren’t stalkers. And if you read this and are offended – hey you put yourselves out there for public consumption – according to you so has Rob so don’t get huffy when people TALK about you – that’s called hypocrisy.

I just can’t handle the sneaky pics of him too that he is unaware they are taking when he is just living his life. I believe he is entitled to it. Anyone else who would do that to children or women on a beach would be arrested.

*nods* to all you’ve said Maria. The way the media & the so called ‘fans’ have been behaving is absolutely disgusting. They all make me sick. How they sleep at night I will never understand. So excited for Rob & hope his filming experience will be one that he truly enjoys. Would hate for him to leave with bad memories of his time here due to the selfish idiots that won’t leave him be. They should be so completely ashamed of themselves but they couldn’t care less. They make my blood absolutely boil.

LOVE the new banner Jules, so beautiful. Takes my breath away.

What gets me is that I’ve noticed most them aren’t Rob fans, they’re celebrity fans. They chase anyone who comes from LA. They’re not a true reflection of his real fans. That’s what peeves me off the most. The fact that could leave thinking his fans in oz are batshit crazy.

Am so thrilled for this movie and excited that Rob is back at work doing what he loves to do again.

Rob is the biggest thing to hit Adelaide since they discovered the climate is good for growing grape. That’s still no excuse to encourage the crazy by way of the hunt. I agree ladies and hope that production goes on uninterrupted while cast and crew can focus on a quality product as opposed to something diluted through wasted resources.

Act responsibly kids – what you do today can effect when and how and if you get to see this on the big screen. Don’t think you could have an impact? (well not a positive one anyway). Don’t think you’re an obstacle? Don’t understand low budget movies? Well think about it and while you’re at it, why the frack do you think Dean flew all the way out to Australia to be by Rob’s side?!!

Just saw your comment Sare. So I guess they really don’t give a shit what comes of the movie then. Sigh
Nor do they understand the respect of fellow human beings. Double sigh

Hunting someone is easy guys. Go do something worthy with your lives… like go back to school or something.

    Thanks for the update Maria.

I’m like Kim and assumed everything was going fine as I hadn’t seen any pap shots. So I am saddened to think that Rob isn’t getting the freedom to practice his craft or just enjoy his stay in peace.

It would like to think after all this is over, The Rover is the best film it could be and Rob had a wonderful and rewarding experience, both on set and off it.

Well some of them were following us on Twitter for some time and if you do follow us on Twitter, you will recall I had an issue with one of them calling me rude because they didn’t like my one word response to them when they asked me about Rob’s arrival from LA. Anyway, whether they are “true” fans or not some so called “true” fans also act like that – they invade his privacy and post what they’ve seen on the internet. So sorry if I don’t differentiate between them and I’m pretty sure Rob knows who his stalker fans are.

Thanks so much Maria, for this production information, and yes any pics etc from an official source will suit me fine. I trust that Rob’s stay in Australia will be a positive one, and looking forward to the release of The Rover – 2013, I hope. Love the new Header, Current Mood and Fav Rob Pic of the Day. Cheers.

1st of all ~ LOVE LOVE LOVE THE NEW BANNER ~ and I think we need to make you an honorary Aussie citizen, Jules! (or have we done that already?)

2nd ….. Are you from Brisbane, @Kim, ‘coz I’m obviously living in the same black hole. Or maybe it’s just the joy of NOT being on Twitter & Facebook? ( I don’t think the Brissie paper has mentioned anything other than Rob’s original arrival.) But for Rob’s sake, and the sake of the movie, I really hope things settle down in Adelaide. Let’s face it, we all want him to leave desperate to return, right?

Finally, thanks Vertigo for my laugh for the night, re Rob being the biggest thing since they discovered the climate was good for growing grape LMAO!

    Posted on January 25, 2013

@Carmel there’s been pics of Rob out and about both from papz and from overzealous famewhores. You know if Rob’s in the photo and he’s agreed to take it – so be it, but when he’s snapped via phone without his knowing it well that crosses a line for me and how any fan can gush over the blatant invasion of his privacy. I’m sorry that I can’t agree with the ‘he’s in public so he should expect it”. So be aware next time you say that to me on any social media I’m going to ask you for your address or phone no. so I can post on said social media – after all they are out in the public domain so according to their argument they should expect it really … right.

I know most don’t agree with my over zealousness of this, but there are so many nutjobs out in this world, the last thing we need is for them to be handed his whereabouts on a silver platter. As for the “I didn’t tweet until he left” well that’s great but just know that people will undoubtedly stalk said place in case he comes back – which I doubt he ever could or would.

    Posted on January 25, 2013

I think that’s it @Sue – twitter is horrendous. I tweeted the other day that Rob is the best thing that’s ever happened to SA tourism. I was being sarcastic – I don’t think a lot of people picked that up. It’s amazing how many businesses are using Rob’s arrival in Adelaide to promote themselves. The other day someone tweeted that he was attending the Unley Gourmet Gala. Um yeah sure – I can just see Rob going to a food and wine street fair because that wouldn’t be a security nightmare at all. And as for The Project tweeting they were on an “RPattz Hunt” and encouraging people to go down to a 5 star hotel in Adelaide with posters etc. I just have no words. Whether Rob was staying at said hotel or not – it’s unprofessional and a disgrace. Last time I checked Rob was human not some animal as part of a hunt on safari.

Stepping off soapbox I think I’ve said more than enough.

Until reading this post I hadn’t been aware of all that had been happening (work gets in the way some days) – thank you for the updates and great news that The Rover is underway 🙂

Jules the banner says it all 😉 – it is fantastic (I need to extend my vocab that describes my appreciation better)

@Maria, I think The Project would class that as ‘really funny’. Which is just really sad. Then they’ll expect an interview.

And after I sent my last comment, I realised why Rob’s not getting a mention up here in the papers ……. Keith Urban is in town! And spotted at Maccas in Caboolture buying a coffee (supposedly from the manager’s mouth, so no self-promotion there, right?). Much better to promote Qld tourism ……..

Night all, I’m heading up to bed with my Water for Elephants dvd. Feel like a little Jacob J. tonight.

Well…I must be living in the same black hole that was mentioned here. I do have twitter and I follow RPAU but I haven’t seen anything other than Maria’s tweets but I didn’t realize the extent of it. I am truly disgusted with The Project, how can they even consider that normal behaviour I’ll never know. I hope the set will be truly remote and that the stalkers won’t be able to access it easily.

And this is why I love RPAU, agree 100% with you girls. Thank you so much for all you do for us here. We are all rooting for Rob, here’s hoping he has the best experiences filming and plenty of peace and quiet in his own time to enjoy. Bloody hell, I think he deserves it don’t you? <3333

I really can't wait for this movie. So excited for him. 🙂

Ditto to all of the above. Hey, fan whores – why don’t you take phone shots up each others skirts and post it – you’re in public – you should expect it! Or how above over the dunny door while you’re on the can – nice! We’d all love to see that. Publicly humilate these b**ches – you have no right to exist if you’re on this planet to hound decent human beings. And as for the press, yeah, when this film goes over-budget because of delays caused by idiots like you, you’ll probably all have a field day ‘reporting’ how the Australian film industry is failing. GRRRRRR. My rant is not over…

    Posted on January 27, 2013

Wow. I am so embarrased by the behaviour of these skanks.
Remember when Robbo (yep he is in Oz now) was filming Cosmopolis and his fans would wait so quietly and patiently all night long just hoping that Rob would come over at the end of the days shoot and sign autographs and have pictures taken. I am sure that he loves and appreciates fans that are respectful and so gives his time graciously when they are around. I don’t know where exactly The Rover is being shot, I am assuming there will be some studio type shoots in Adelaide and some out in the bush and desert, or location shoots. Now whilst in Adelaide I really don’t think Rob would mind if fans waited respectfully and he would always give them some of his time, as for the locations shoots, well the Australian Outback can be very dangerous to those not use to such harsh conditions. So if any of you are going to lie in wait for Rob, whether in Adelaide or on location, then do so with respect for ALL the cast and crew.
And as for the Media getting on the bandwagon to hunt Rob, well was’nt it The Project that called Rob rude for yawning during an interview, so we know where they stand. As for the rest of them they should remember that Nicole Kidman successfully sued a few Australian media outlets for stalking. We have much tighter and enforcable laws concerning these matters, so skanks watch out!!!!

Hi ladies, I guess I am living in a black hole too, as I haven’t seen much “R-pattz” crap. But then again, I choose not to read newspapers, tweet, or watch much news, so it’s a hole of my own making (add in the quarantined-for-gastro week & I wouldn’t even know Rob was here but for RPAU). I’m so sad for Rob that he hasn’t been left alone here in little Adelaide. I can’t believe how irresponsible some “news” shows are, encouraging ppl to stalk? wtf? Extremely poor journalism, even if you could call it that. I feel embarrassed that some people in my town are being sucked in by the hype & showing a poor example of how to treat other human beings – and a very short-term way of thinking. Surely being on our best behaviour would be the quickest way to bring celebs back here for work….oh no, let’s just make it so that they never want to come back for the sake of one sneaky pic. 🙁 I haven’t even gone into the city to keep my eyes open for him; just happy he’s in the same place as me.

  • Maria
    Posted on January 27, 2013

LOL @Erika – yes Nicole sued that one pesky papz that we apparently have that stalked her outside her house in Sydney years back. I know we don’t have a lot but you just need one bad apple to ruin it for the rest. And Tom & Nicole did in fact successfully sue one supposedly reputable Aussie women’s magazine back in the early 90s for one of their cover stories.

I’m not sure all fans were respectful during the Cosmo filming – I have a recollection that someone waited and complained when Robbo didn’t stop (maybe it was a Twi film), but he’s usually so good to his fans. What these people forget is that he’s working. I’d love to wait and pounce on them after their long day at work and see how they like to be hounded to sign something or take a pic. I know that there are times I refuse to even answer the phone at home after work because I’m sick of talking to people.

I love your last line though *skanks watch out” it’s GOLD!
