Just wondering if they’ll put some extended piano playing in the BD2 DVD extras. Probably not, but it is Sunday and Rob at the keyboard is always a treat.

    Thanks Vertigo because as sweet as seeing Edward playing the piano in BD2 it was far too short and he was not playing Renesmee’s lullaby – what a waste of talent that was.

    Rob playing the piano =pure HEAVEN. Thanks so much for sharing Vertigo & fingers crossed for some extended piano playing on the BD2 extras *looks to the gods* Far too short is for sure Maria, such a disappointment. It was almost blink & you’ll miss it. We want MORE Rob!!! Whoever decided that’s all we would get to see of Rob playing – total FAIL *thumbs down*

    It wouldn’t have killed them to let the playing go on for at least another minute. I think that’s reasonable.

    What a wonderful treat. Thanks Vertigo

    Hell yes!!! I couldn’t belive that scene was so short. They could have had him at that piano making beautiful music for another 40 minutes and I would be very happy. Please Outtake Gods – This is one for the extras

    Rob at the piano is a beautiful thing.

    @Vertigo: Actually, they could have let the playing go on for at least another hour. I think that’s reasonable. 😉

    @Suze not only reasonable….desirable, There was so much extra…..”stuff”….they could’ve eliminated. 😀

    This was wonderful, thanks Vertigo!! I agree with you all – Edward’s piano playing was insanely short in BD2. And when you think of all that they did include….*sarcastic thumbs up* Please, please let us have a LOT more of him playing on the dvd extras. 🙁

    *waves to mema* Hope you are well 🙂 xx

    🙁 not only was the piano scene painfully short and “token”, it wasn’t even a new tune…boooo….where was the beautiful piece dedicated to their child, I imagine from the book? Not that the previous melodic lines aren’t beautiful, but I think maybe they forgot this was part 2, not part 1…..?! Thank you for sharing this scene Vertigo – I think this is possibly the best piece of “Extra” of all the movies combined, and always will be. Unless they shock us with the final one, but I doubt it.

    I think i’ve said before that I would have been happy to sit through the whole 2 hours of BD 2 with just Rob playinhg the piano. I stand by that comment!!!!!!!! I also have to say, how is Rob playing the piano ever “deleted”? That is just wrong on every level!!!

  • Val

    lol @Vicky, I know, it’s criminal that it was ever deleted! Maybe Summit decided that no-one had read the books & so wouldn’t notice the lack of all his book-talents?! “Throwing the baby out with the bath-water” was never truer when it came to the final edits of these movies. So many scenes just don’t make any sense because they cut so much (& invented so much other meaningless stuff). And that’s from a die-hard Twi-mum 😉
