Watch Rob shoot down George Stephanopolous … with ease.  Thank you Rob – I’d rather know how many calories in the cereal than stuff that is NOONE’s business.  Love you.

Ain’t that the truth Maria!! Rob you handled yourself so wonderfully as always. George you really need to learn how to mind your own business.

    Exactly!

Of course what you say has relevance around here Rob. We’ve always listened. Thanks for doing your thing and sticking to your guns …

I suddenly have a craving for cereal.

Dear God how gorgeous is he??? I am swooning like an idiot here. Thank you so much for posting it so quickly Maria.
He did it so smoothly and left no room at all for any more questions about his personal life. Beautifully done Rob, you are A-MA-ZING!!! I hope all this will pay off and it will result in high ticket sales for Cosmopolis. Although having said that… did anyone else notice that there were Edward Cullen posters there??? I mean seriously people???

Nooooooooooooooooo… really @Ephie – I didn’t notice anything other than Rob honestly. I try not to watch the crowd. Sweet jesus .. I loved how they were building up Rob’s appearance and said “Superstar Robert Pattinson” not Twilight heartthrob.

Oh well – Rob left NO margin for misinterpretation, but unfortunately there will always be people who are more concerned with his life than his career. And also the ones that have their own personal agendas …

What elephant -wasnt that another movie that Rob has previously starred in and promoted? Really if given the opportunity to speak with Rob -surely you could think of better things to ask and not about his personal life. ps Ephie just had to replay again as I couldn’t take my eyes off Rob 😉

I saw the huge Edward poster earlier when one of the female reporters went out there to speak to the fans – quite a while before Rob even arrived. It made me cringe of course. He is past Twilight people!!! When are they going to realise that?
He is such a class act isn’t he??? I’ve watched it a few times now and I keep falling deeper and deeper…how is it even possible?

Well done Rob! You are a gentleman. I just can’t express how much I admire the way he points out the bloody obvious.
If only that wasted time could have been devoted to some of Rob’s other ideas.

@Ephie – I know!!!! I can’t get over how good he is looking.

    *THUD*

THAT was me falling at his feet in total adoration. I’ll say it again – Rob, you are as close to perfect as I’m going to see in my lifetime.

Thanks for posting, Maria. (I watched the live link but my connection was pretty hopeless.)

Even after all this time I find myself still falling more and more under his spell. So classy and I agree Vertigo, what he says always has relevance!!!!!

I have to say, it soooooo good to have my Internet back. Now I can catch up on all the goodness!!!!!!

Why do the interviewers even go there? He’s no fool people. He won’t give you the scoop you crave!
I love Rob’s integrity, always a class act. Bet cereal sales increase today though!

Thanks Michelle. I agree with you all – he was just wonderful in this interview. I am so annoyed with these so called interviewers wasting his time and ours with these awful questions throughout this promo. Oh and don’t you dare use the fans as an excuse to get information out of him GMA – ‘what do you want the fans to know….’ uhm, the fans don’t want to see him pressured into speaking about something that is nobody’s business but his. We are here to support him through whatever, his career has never been better or more exciting if you ask me – I just can’t believe they didn’t spend all the time talking Cosmopolis and NYSE etc etc. UGH!

Dear media, Just back all the way off with the stupidity and let him promote this MOVIE. Having said that I’m pretty sure Cronenberg is close to bitch-slapping one of these so-called reporters. They are both handling it with such class and dignity. As you would expect.

He looks hotter than hell this week – just saying. *thumbs up*

Pity that elephant in the room didn’t stomp on that” interviewer” and i us that term very loosely…..

  • Maria
    Posted on August 16, 2012

Oh yeah @Cindy – the two most overused phrases this week “let’s get the elephant in the room out of the way” and “your fans want to know if you are okay”.

    Dear Celebrity journo hacks

I don’t see no elephant in the room unless you are talking Rosie and that’s the wrong film. Also, please do not speak on my behalf, I don’t recall asking you to. Why don’t you go back to college/university and actually learn interviewing skills. Robert, you’re here to discuss your new film Cosmopolis. What do you want your fans to get from this movie …

    Love me.

I expected more from Stephanopoulos, but then I remembered what Administration he was from.

*applause* on your comments Maria & Jules. I’d love to reach through my screen & bitch slap these journo hacks. Seriously using the fans to try & get information out of him is just a disgrace. Any fan that wants to see him go through crap like that is no freakin’ fan at all. Let the man do what he came to, promote the movie. That is what his true fans want to see. The rest is NONE of anyone’s business. If only an elephant really HAD been there, one named Tai!

Rob handled himself brilliantly. I had a feeling they were gonna go there when the gal outside said they would be talking about his movies and some other things. Ditto to the elephant in the room stomping on him. Too bad Rosie wasn’t around.

Note to George S: His private life is no one’s business. And the real Rob fans would never expect him to discuss it. What we do want to hear him discuss are his current and upcoming film projects.

Exactly @Maria I dont need that person to speak for me thanks very much! And no George as Maria says we dont all want to know its only YOU who wants to know so your show can get more ratings and those gossipy rags will sell more copies.

LOL @Carolyn wonder if they export Cinnamon Toast Crunch *snorts*. And it was kind of ironic that Georgie said they did their research because if they truly did they would have heard Rob never speak of his personal affairs and also state that he never speaks of his personal affairs. -10 for trying though.

Way to shut someone down! “it’s the reason why you go on tv, is to promote movies” Love it. If he were less of a gentleman that could be interpreted as “one more dumbass irrelevant question & I’m walking”. George looks suitably chastised for the rest of the interview 🙂 @Jules, well said, hotter than hell he most certainly is, & a lovely banner! xx
