Oh yeah like we didn’t know that 2012 was going to be Rob’s year.  Time for all the philistines to catch up with what we’ve been saying for years.  According to Next Movie Rob’s one of the 30 Actors to watch in 2012:

“Robert Pattinson

Starring in: “Bel Ami” (March 2); “Cosmopolis”; “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2” (Nov. 16)
Why It’s a Big Year: Just call him the prince of adaptations. Pattinson tackles three literary heroes in 2012: Guy de Maupassant’s manipulative Parisian in the period drama “Bel Ami,” Don DeLillo’s shallow Manhattan billionaire in “Cosmopolis” and — of course — Stephenie Meyer’s eternally young vampire in love, Edward Cullen, in the final “Twilight.”

NextMovie just so you know – I’d rather refer to him as the King of Hollywood because in all honesty – that’s what he is going to be if not already.

King Of Hollywood – ain’t that the truth Maria!!!

2012 – the year of Rob when he continues to blow everyone out of the water. I just cannot wait for people to eat more of that humble pie!

Sorry, I don’t agree with the description of Eric as ‘shallow’. I would think him the opposite of shallow. Maybe someone just read the dust cover
I am very happy with the Prince of Adaptations title. I am sure good writing inspires Rob

2012 is the year of “I told you so!”.

I agree Carmel, Eric is only shallow if you only read Cosmopolis on an incredibly superficial level.

I agree, Eric is not necessarily shallow, but definately complex. I can’t wait to see how this book has been adapted for film. Robert is going to be fabulous as Eric. It will be interesting to see how they pull off the story concerning his wife. That should be hot!!
