Kate Ward from Inside Movies at EW.com can at least confirm that Marion is out, which we already knew, so I guess we just have to wait patiently to see if yesterday’s rumour about Keira is correct:

“Rob Pattinson will have to find a new leading lady: Marion Cotillard’s rep confirms to EW that the actress is no longer attached to David Cronenberg’s adaptation of the Don DeLillo novel, which follows a financial whiz who’s sidetracked on his way to get a haircut. The reason? Though some outlets point to Cotillard’s recently announced pregnancy, her rep insists that she no longer could participate in the film due to scheduling conflicts. (The actress is currently filming Steven Soderbergh’s Contagion.)

Cotillard isn’t the only actor to have left the project. Colin Farrell was originally attached to play the leading role in the feature, but was replaced by Pattinson when he dropped out. As for Cotillard’s replacement: Internet rumors claim Keira Knightley will fill the Inception actress’ shoes, but Knightley’s rep told EW that nothing could be confirmed at this time.”

In any event, we all remember that they only announced Emile de Ravin about a week before Remember Me started filming, so I’m not in the least bit anxious that there will be delays in filming.  I’m happy to be kept in the dark until they decide to unleash the lucky lady – besides all good comes to those who wait … the still of Georges last night was confirmation of that!

As long as he remains the leading man in this film. I have no worries who will be playing his wife. @Maria thank you so much for keeping us updated.

I dont mind waiting – it’s not like I’m a stalker and need ample time to hunt the poor woman down. Or should I say lucky woman come filming.
I have faith they will make the right choice and Rob will still shine, same as he always does.

No complaints from me either – I’m more than happy to wait. One thing’s for sure, whoever is cast is one lucky lucky lady! Thanks for posting Maria, I LOVE hearing Cosmopolis news. Oh Rob you are going to be AMAZING as Eric – stating obvious I know.

Not sure about Keira, I would’ve preferred Marion…but the again whoever it is, is going to be one super lucky lady.
I’ll have eyes only for one man though, and that will be Eric 😀

I totally agree, no need to get impatient here. I am sure they will cast the right leading lady for this movie. I am happy to wait. It is important to get the right person of course… Rob cannot do everything by himself. The rest of the cast is very important as well – think of Remember Me.
