Respecting Rob because actions speak louder than words.
Here are the first few images of Rob, walking down the Red Carpet before the Oscar’s Awards Ceremony started. He looked all clean-cut and shaven (and no beanie…!). He was also accompanied by his agent, Stephanie Ritz.
Just a reminder (even though I’m sure you haven’t forgotten) that Rob is scheduled to attend & be a presenter at the Oscars which will be held on Monday 23rd February our time. For the first time ever, we here in Australia will be able to watch the awards on our screens broadcast live from the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.
I have checked both my newspaper TV Guide & also the Nine Network website & they both have the following information:
According to The Official Little Ashes website, the release date for the film has been changed from March to May.
Taken from their website:
Regent Releasing is pleased to announce the theatrical opening of “Little Ashes”
in select U.S. theaters beginning May 8th, 2009
Although this news is disappointing for the U.S fans (after looking forward to March for so long) I know that it will be well & truly worth the wait for them. From the various clips I have seen, Little Ashes looks like such a beautiful film with fantastic performances by all the actors. When I think about the day when all us Aussie fans will be able to see the film, it makes me feel so excited. I cannot wait for that day to come.
Nikki Finke’s Deadline Hollywood Daily posted an EXCLUSIVE on ‘Eclipse’ news. They confirmed that there’s no director yet, but Chris Weitz won’t be directing the third installment of the Twilight Saga. The movie is due to be released on June 30th, 2010 which means it’s only 6 months after the release of ‘New Moon’. They also mentioned that the two movies won’t be filmed ‘back-to-back’. There will be a brief gap between the two, but I guess the keyword is ‘brief’…otherwise, i don’t know how they’re going to be able to release those movies on the dates they mentioned.
Rob attended the Grey Goose Pre-Oscar party last night. Actually, that grey shirt, black leather jacket and black pants combo is one of my favourite outfits of his. The only things missing are a pair of raybans and the beanie.
Mark Malkin talked about Rob presenting at the Oscars, and the fact that Kristen’s attendance is still unconfirmed. He also mentioned that if she did come, she should smile a little bit. I can’t wait to see the Oscars and I really do hope Kristen comes as well. She deserves to be there, smile or no smile.
Our affiliate, Spunk-Ransom has managed to confirm that Rob will be singing 4 songs on the HOW TO BE soundtrack. Here is what they said on their website:
I can confirm that 4 tracks will have Robert singing and playing; his character in the film is a struggling musician, so they are songs he sings in the film itself. This news will be officially announced shortly….
More good news regarding ‘HOW TO BE‘! (how much better can this get? I’m jumping up and down in excitement). The Soundtrack (which is a really big part of the movie) will be available for pre-order from Dreamboat Records from the 1st of March, 2009. They also posted on their website that there will be exclusive surprises for Rob’s fans (wonder what it’s going to be…?). The soundtrack includes the movie’s original score by composer Joe Hastings and songs by Johnny White (the actor who played Ronny in the movie).

We’re really excited that HOW TO BE movie has found a distributor in the US! The distributor, IFC Films, has included the movie in their festival line up in April. Leading up to the release, HOW TO BE is going on a US Tour. Producer Justin Kelly, Director Oliver Irving, Mike Pearce (Nikki) and Johnny White (Ronny) will be attending several film festivals around the States to introduce the movie.
If you would like to see the movie here in Australia, don’t forget to visit the HOW TO BE Australia website to purchase tickets and receive updates. Tickets are still available and the screening will be held on Saturday, the 28th of March, at 7:00 pm.
To find out more about the screening dates in the States and more updates on the movie, please visit the Official HOW TO BE movie site.
