ET have posted another teaser on their site from their coverage from the set of ‘New Moon’Â This clip is pretty similar to the others that have been released but seeing as this teaser features some more from Rob’s interview, I just had to share.
The video won’t allow me to embed on the site for some reason, so please click on the lovely picture of Rob to watch the video.
I am not sure when this ET coverage will air on our screens in Australia, but as soon as we find out we will let you all know.
Amanda Bell from Examiner received her “How To Be” soundtrack (not autographed which means there’s one more out there for us!) and seems to have been pleasantly surprised. Here are the comments she made about Rob:
“In fact, this particular album is by far one of the most unique compilations I’ve laid my hands on so far. Each song, or in some cases “snippet” of dialogue from the film, is interesting its own way, and, yes, we get a lot of Robert Pattinson.”
“Of course, Robert Pattinson’s contributions are in character – they are all pieces of his performances from the film, but they are no less amusing or tantalizing. While his talent is on obvious display, it is muffled by a sense of witty self-deprication and muted aspiration. In short, it is very entertaining.”
“Over all, the How To Be soundtrack did not disappoint. Remniscient of the quaintness and fragility of the characters, especiallyRobert Pattinson’s character Art, as well as the oddity and good nature of the film’s essence itself, the soundtrack is a credit to its relative feature film, and any fan of the film or its cast will surely enjoy the work that has been done here.”
Again Amanda, you are preaching to the converted.  However, if you want to read the full article, you can do so here.
Let’s face it – none of us will be surprised by this news. Amanda Bell from Examiner confirms that Rob has just won the Bravo A List Breakout Star Award for his portrayal of Edward Cullen. And I have to agree with her comment that some fans may consider it an insult since we knew he was a star long before Eddie came along. However, it’s great to see Rob reaping in the rewards and undoubtedly this will be one of many many more to come his way. You can read the full article here.
According to MTV, Breaking Dawn has officially gotten a green light from SUMMIT. It is reportedly going to start shooting in Spring 2010. Wow, Summit is really capitalising on Twilight’s success (why not?) and this means Rob will be tied to this project for most of next year as well.
ET posted a short, 8 seconds clip of Rob talking about his ‘New Moon’ experience to whet our appetite before they release a longer version this Thursday. For some reason, I can’t embed the video on the site. Please click on the picture to go to ET’s site and watch the video.
Amanda Bell from Examiner interviewed Carlo Dusi about Little Ashes and asked him, amongst other things, about his involvement in Rob’s selection as Salvador Dalie and what made Rob perfect for the role. This is what Carlo had to say:
“Robert had been on my radar for some time, as I had actually got him to read for a role in a pilot for a feature film that I made in 2006, and while he was too young for that particular role I had already been extremely impressed by his screen presence and his acting ability. When our dates for the shoot of Little Ashes were confirmed and we went back into the market to find our Salvador Dali’ in Britain, he was immediately one of our shortlist, and his reading for the role left us all in no doubt that he was the right person for the role. Of course no-one could have imagined at the time how his career would have soared so soon after our shoot, but we could all tell that there was a very special quality to him, as well as huge talent and integriy as an actor.Â
…
Finally, Robert is himself an incredibly intense, artistic and complex character whose intelligence immediately tapped into both the insecure side of Dali’s personality as well as his flamboyance, and the arc that he managed to create for Dali’s journey during the film is a real testament to his craft as an actor.”
You can read the full article here. Well Carlo, it’s good to see that someone other than a screaming fangirl is singing Rob’s praises.
