Thanks to MTV.com, here’s a clip of Art, who just bought his new (old) car and drove it for the first time. It’s really funny and touching at the same time. I’m not sure how accessible this video is, apparently some people can’t watch it. We will post the YouTube version once it comes out.

ew-outtake-3

James Mottram of The Independent recently interviewed Rob and it is one of the better ones I’ve read in quite some time.   Rob talks about his new found fame and the craziness that surrounds him as well as on Salvador Dali and his struggles.  I am always interested to hear what Rob thinks about these topics and he doesn’t disappoint:

on Dali:

“Just hyper-consciousness and stuff… I guess I do relate to that quite a lot,” he mumbles.   What I really related to is this idea of ambition. Just being so concerned about being the best and being known for being someone important… he keeps continually forgetting that it doesn’t really mean anything at all. And I always found that idea interesting. But I think Dali has a lot of shame – and I don’t really have that!”

on himself:

“You can never be known for what you want to be known for … People will know you for whatever they want to know you for.”

So true Rob, so true.   It’s also hard to disagree with James’ final comment that “for a 22 year old, Rob is surprsingly perceptive”.  What’s not surprising is that he is so grounded and unaffected by the fame.  These characteristics are just two of the reasons why he has won himself a legion of admirers.  The quotes above, for me, are further proof of that.  Thanks to our affiliate Robsessed.  You can read the full interview here.

There is a rumour circulating that Summit Entertainment is presenting four new titles to buyers at Cannes this year including a romantic drama starring Rob.  I should point out that coincidentally Cannes starts on 13 May (an omen perhaps).  According to Screen Daily:

“Pattinson is starring in Remember Me which is shooting this summer in New York while the actor is between Twilight sequels New Moon, which wraps at the end of May, and Eclipse, which starts in August.

Allen Coulter, the award-winning TV director (The Sopranos, Damages) who made his feature debut with Hollywoodland in 2006, is directing the film and Nick Osborne and Trevor Engelson of Underground Films (License To Wed) are producing.

Summit co-chairman and CEO Patrick Wachsberger wouldn’t go into too much detail on the plot but described the film as this generation’s Love Story. A female lead is in the process of being cast, while Rachel Getting Married writer Jenny Lumet has finished the latest draft of the screenplay.”

Now even Rob is slightly perplexed as you can see – as this is sounding suspiciously like Memoirs, but only the name has been changed – same award winning director, producers and writer.   As I said, at the moment, its a rumour and there’s always the possibility that nothing will eventuate, but as soon as we find confirmation we will let you know.  It would be great to see Rob in something in addition to Twilight Saga.  Thanks to Everglow.

Here is what we’ve been waiting for, the ‘behind-the-scenes’ interview of Rob, Kristen & Taylor at ET.  I’m so pleased that the YouTube videos are good quality videos, especially since I don’t have FOXTEL at home. Anyway, here they are, part 1 and part 2 of the interview.

I’ve just realised how much I missed watching new interviews of Rob. We haven’t really heard much from him since the Oscars.

Since we’ve been getting an overwhelming amount of emails and comments on having a ‘Little Ashes’ movement in Australia, I’d like to let everyone know that Gozde from Robsessed is the person who started this movement.  She has done a marvelous job and it has been getting amazing responses in the US. The movement has been going on for a while and I think they’re at Day 17 now.

Goz has also posted a list for cinemas in Melbourne on her site:

1. The Astor Theatre – 1 Chapel Street St Kilda 03 9510 1414
2. Kino Dendy Cinemas – 45 Collins Street, Melbourne 03 9650 2100
3.The George Cinemas – 135 Fitzroy Street, St Kilda 03 9534 6922
4.Cinema Como – Corner Toorak Road and Chapel Street, South Yarra 03 9827 7533
5. Cinema Europa Jam Factory -1st Floor, 500 Chapel St, South Yarra 1300 555 400
6.Rivoli Cinemas – 200 Camberwell Road, East Hawthorn- 03 9882 1221
7.Cinema Nova – 380 Lygon Street, Carlton 03 9347 5331

We would really appreciate it, if anyone who is interested in being involved could contact Goz at robsessedpattinson@gmail.com or write a comment at ANY of the Little Ashes Movement posts at the Robsessed site (this is what she prefers). At this stage, she hasn’t got the lists of cinemas in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide or any other cities you might want to see the film in.

Oh, and please note that the film already has a distributor, KOJO PICTURES. You might want to mention that when you contact the cinemas.

As well as on Robsessed, our site will also post any updates on cinema locations and if we’re getting positive responses from any of the Australian cinemas.

Thanks so much for your willingness to help! If we try hard, I’m sure that this beautiful movie would see the light of day at our cinemas.
