Good morning everyone, I’ve been debating on whether or not to post this clip, but it is really too good not to share. This is the scene where Dali and Lorca kissed. It is quite graphic, but done very very beautifully. And if by now, you’re not convinced that ‘Little Ashes‘ is a really good movie – this clip would show that the filmmakers (and actors) are doing a great job making this scene both intimate and very artistic.

Please be aware that this is an R-rated clip.

Just a little reminder that voting for the inaugural “Pic of the Month” closes next Tuesday 12 May at 6.00 pm (or thereabouts).  So there’s still time to pick your favourite of the 3 photos above by either voting here or through the widget on the main page.    And for those of us who can’t decide, it lets you vote for each photo once, but you can’t cheat and vote for your favourite multiple times – believe me I’ve tried.

Amanda Bell of The Examiner has let us know (well not me personally, but I did get a group email) that Rob has been nominated for “Breakthrough Performance Male” at this year’s MTV Movie Awards.  Now I’m not sure how many years Rob can win the “breakthrough” award – clearly he broke through last year, but he’s up against the likes of Ben Barnes, Dev Patel and of course, Taylor Lautner.

Rob has also been nominated in two other categories thanks to Twilight – “Best Kiss”, but that’s not a surprise is it and “Best Fight” – you get him Rob – Cam deserved it anyway.  Iwas going to provide a link for Amanda’s article , but she has proven to me that she’s a tad lazy with her research considering she thinks Rob is up against Zefron, Shia LeBoofhead and Robert Downey Jr (sorry have a soft spot for Rob Jr – must be the name).

So if you want to appreciate Rob walking down the red carpet (like the above gif – because who could resist) – show your support by registering your votes for all three here.   You need to sign up, but it doesn’t take very long (trust me).  Voting closes on 27 May 2009  since the awards are being shown live in the US on 31 May 2009 (apparently they will be seen on MTV Australia at 4.00 pm on 1 June 2009, with an encore performance at 7.30 pm (for those of us who work).  If this changes I will let you know).

Our wonderful affiliate Spunk Ransom has received confirmation that Rob will be attending the Cannes Film Festival in France:

‘My assistant Elizabeth has been able to confirm that Rob will be attending the Cannes Film Festival. We were not able to confirm if he is attending with Allen Coulter, director of “Remember Me”, however, mark your calendars for the Cannes Film Festival!’

The festival is being held between May 13 (a very special day – Rob’s birthday) & May 24.  At this stage, the date that Rob will be in attendance is not known.

This is such great news & so exciting for Rob. Cannot wait to hear more about this.

These are not the best quality pictures and they’re from Lainey’s Gossip site (who we all know isn’t a huge Rob fan at all – and I’m putting this mildly). But they’re pictures of Rob at work, so I’m still happy to see them.

Life & Style magazine is finally out and there are 2 more photos of young Rob.  We weren’t sure last week, when some of these were splashed over the internet, whether they had been officially released.  However, since they appear in the article we thought it would be okay to post.   Seriously how adorable was he as a child.  Is that him “running” in the second photo – clearly the jokes by Klutz and co have no basis now!
