Thanks to RobertPattinsonWho here are some pics of Rob with his shirt half-unbuttoned to wake you up this morning.  For me, this actually works better than coffee.  I think shooting at countries with warmer weather is a really good idea. Maybe they should come to Australia next?

Following Maria’s Japanese photoshoot post from yesterday (how lovely were they) here we have another great photo of Rob that was featured in Japanese magazine ‘Screen’

The photos from Japan are some of my most favourites so I am very happy to see that there are still more surfacing that we haven’t yet seen. Make sure you click on the photo to view it in full size.

Amanda Bell from examiner.com wrote an article about upcoming films for the stars of Twilight and also posted videos of some of their earlier work.  She mentions Rob’s future films – Bel Ami, Remember Me and Unbound Captives as well as “others in the works” (I hope this isn’t a tease, but she could be referring to his recent meeting with Peter Berg).   Lucky for us, she has included a video of Rob’s role as Rawdy Crawley in Vanity Fair (you know the one, where some idiot decided to cut him from the movie and I bet they are so so regretting that now).  By the way, Michelle tells me that this video is far better quality than the deleted scene on her DVD.   Here is what Amanda has to say about the clip:

“Pattinson, too, has any number of pre-Twilight films (including some which have recently been released such as How To Be and Little Ashes) to showcase. One such is Vanity Fair, in which Pattinson appeared as the estranged son of Reese Witherspoon’s character in the film, but his part was cut and uncredited. For this reason, we bring you clips of Pattinson’s part in Vanity Fair (a film which, by the way, Pattinson’s friend and fellow “Brit Pack” member Tom Sturridge appeared in as well).”

They just try everything to keep Rob and TomStu apart – hmmm I think they should consider casting him as Aiden in Remember Me – just a  hint there for you Summit.  If you would like to read the full article (especially if you want to see Taylor as Shark Boy) click here.

Some photos have surfaced of a photoshoot in Japan earlier this year.  You may have seen the thumbnails last month, but we were desperately holding out for larger versions.  Well they turned up today, but unfortunately they are tagged and I agree Michelle tagging any part and especially Rob’s face is so very very annoying.  Will update as soon as we find untagged versions, but in the meantime – enjoy (believe me it took me so long to upload these photos I’m surprised untagged ones haven’t turned up yet).  Thanks to Robert Pattinson Source

Technikart Magazine (which is the leading French magazine for people who want to stay on top of current trends) interviewed Rob whilst in Cannes and an extract of that interview has appeared on Yahoo France (click on link to read in French).  It gives us a little more insight into Rob’s thoughts on the madness surrounding him and perhaps the reason why we don’t get to see the smile so much – you know the one.  (Rob, when it comes to the papz, I couldn’t agree with you more, there needs to be a law about those parasites.  I can tell from that expression you’re thinking – yep still sitting and NOT smiling!)  Thanks to RobPattznews for the translation below.

Robert Pattinson causes Riot in France:  “I was carried by three bodyguards!”

Heartthrob Robert Pattinson, who has become a superstar thanks to the ‘Twilight’ saga, is in Cannes, and the least we can say is that he has fans absolutely everywhere, especially a few thousand on the Croisette (name that French give to Cannes), where every time he appears, he causes a riot.

Technikart magazine met the British star, who can’t get over the enthusiastic welcome which was given on the Croisette. Extracts.

“I was having lunch on the Carlton’s beach when 700 people crowded together at the entrance to the restaurant of the beach. It was funny, in a way… I was carried by three bodyguards to a car parked in front of the restaurant. They were literally carrying me; I wasn’t touching the ground anymore! It was really, really weird!”

It’s time for our Video of the Week and we have decided to introduce Group Choice.  This month, seeing as it was released on DVD and all of us except Michelle (that damn Tasman Sea) have received our copies, we thought it fitting to pick “Behind the Scenes” of How To Be.  How can we go past a video that gives us so much of Rob’s laughter – I say we can’t and so here are our individual reasons for loving this clip.

Cilla : I love how often Rob smiles in this clip. Lately, I haven’t seen him smile that much. Oh, and he also seemed more relaxed and carefree, like he just wanted to have fun. Also, at about 2:10, when Johnny asked him a question,  he kept pinching his nose – I thought that was really cute.

Michelle:  I love all of Rob’s laughter in this video, always makes me smile when I hear him laugh.  There are so many great moments in the video but my favourite would have to be when Rob walks up to the camera brushing his hair out of his face, guitar in hand, harmonica around his neck & says ‘hey man’ with a laugh & his hair flops down over his face – so cute.

Maria:  I just love Rob’s laugh throughout this clip, but it’s the giggle and blowing on his tea/coffee when he’s asked about how he’s coping with the pressures of being the leading man that so endears him to me.  And the fact that he’s thinking about Oliver and not himself.  Oh and if I can squeeze in another reason, at the end where Oliver says “cut before he spews” – priceless.
