RT Features to produce Robert Pattinson “The Stars at Noon”

image host

Telecine interviewed Rodrigo Teixeira, who as you might recall through RT Features produced “The Lighthouse”, on their Instagram live where along with talking about how great Rob is, revealed he would also be producing “The Stars At Noon ” in 2021. Below is the transcription thanks to Robert Pattinson Portugal:

“He is one of the sweetest stars he has. We shared the same house for 3 months, two houses sprouted.

Where did you guys shoot?

– Nova Scotia, Canada. And we became very friend. Very much. We had dinner together every night, ate soup, had a beer, chat. This guy is cool asf, fine people, smart, is a cinephile, has good taste in cinema, humble, is an amazing guy, any image I had of this kid until I work with him I see him another way. I’m a fan of his I think he’s awesome, he deserves a lot of success you know, because he’s a very normal guy, he’s a nice guy.

And very good actor, full of qualities, and resources as an actor, he is wonderful.

Very much. He surrenders, makes film for young director, he’s an amazing guy. He is a very modern actor. I really like him.

And you will still have the opportunity to be able to work with him again, which will be cool, you will meet again.

Yes we end up getting close, you end up creating some friends in the middle of this process, you end up saying “look let’s make a movie together” and you find the material and send to me. You end up creating relationship. With Robert Pattinson if I think there will be something that is too cool for him, if I send it I’m sure he will stop and read and will chat me.”

Emilie De Ravin talks Rob and filming with William Keck of Dramaversity

Dramaversity held a limited virtual meet and greet via Zoom recently for fans of Emilie De Ravin. William Keck interviewed Emilie and this is her response to working with Rob:

Keck: You also had an onscreen romance with a future Batman – Robert Pattinson.

Emilie: I know he’s going to be Batman – that’s so cool.

Keck: Tell us about Rob, what do you love about Rob?

Emilie: He’s very – probably to a fault, he’s so self-deprecating. He thinks he is super unattractive, super dorky, super just like…. ‘why does anyone like me?’ But not in a sense that people do that who want the attention, but like authentically and just funny. We had a really wonderful time working together because it was just easy, easy and fun and our sense of humor is very similar. I find my Australian sense of humour is on par with European sense of humour – English, Scottish or Irish, there is a lot of sarcasm and kind of taking the piss out of each other which is I think is borderline offensive to a lot of people in America. I grew up – you make fun of each other to a point and everyone knows that you’re joking. So that was all really nice we got to have a lot of fun on that set.

Robert Eggers Pitch for Robert Pattinson The Lighthouse was more sexually explicit than the final film

image host

Film Independent interviewed Robert Eggers as part of their new #CoffeeTalks. Robert Eggers talks about the film, Rob and Willem and revealed that his initial pitch for The Lighthouse was far more sexually explicit than the final film ended up. Below is a quote via IndieWire:

“There wasn’t much of a pitch, really. There was convincing to do it on 35mm black-and-white negative, and there was also some full-frontal male nudity, an erection, and they were kind of like, look, it can be black and white and weird and all this stuff, but it can’t be rated NC-17.”

Eggers, who in “The Witch” depicted a scene of a sleepwalking woman breastfeeding a crow during a midnight fit, said he did not put up a fight on the erection front. “I thought that was very fair,” he said. “If you’re going to go make ‘The Lighthouse,’ you’re making something that is hard to describe.”

Robert Eggers also confirms that he gave Rob a lot more information for a back story to Ephraim than he gave to Willem for his Thomas. You can watch the interview over at Film Independent’s Facebook or below
