What? I beat Nacho Figueras and Brad Pitt as Vanity Fair’s “Most Handsome Man” – that’s insane, are you serious, I’m going to have to sit down – it’s been a bizarre day!  That’s right Rob, you did beat Nacho (I thought that was something you ate) and Brad with a staggering 51% of the votes or put simply 137,946 votes for you, 39,874 for Nacho and 32,396 for Brad. So I guess we will be getting that cover of Vanity Fair after all and more photos of you in the grey jacket and the red striped top (not that I’ve embedded it to memory or anything). For those of us who didn’t know who Nacho was – he’s an Argentinian polo player – Ignacio ‘Nacho’ Figueras. Thanks to Amanda Bell of examiner.com and if you want to read the article including full results, click here.
Here’s a reminder of why Rob won – not that we need it:
This interview with Rob took place during the filming of Twilight & I don’t remember seeing it before, or at least I haven’t seen it in full. Is only a short interview, but is very cute. Won’t tell you what Rob talks about in this one, will let it be a surprise lol. Enjoy!
I wish I could say that I’m surprised, but I’m not. ET claimed they were going to have extended footage of their behind the scenes set visit to New Moon earlier this year. You remember them – ET dragged them out over 3 or 4 days when they could have just shown us the whole thing in one show. Well guess what – that’s exactly what this extended footage is – all of the videos together and a bit of the New Moon trailer thrown in for good measure (there might be slight changes, but not exactly what I was expecting). Very good ET – you clearly needed a ratings boost and knew that all Rob fans would tune in.  Well I guess we get to see Rob looking relaxed and happy again – which is always a bonus and hear him say “well Edward is wealthier” which still brings a smile to my face – lol. Thanks to YouTube user ljpl1 (I couldn’t embed the ET one, but it was 2am!)
Well if the photo from Michelle’s post yesterday wasn’t enough enticement to preorder this Limited Edition magazine, then I’m sure the Sex Drive photo on the cover might tip you over. The magazine will be available in the US on 26 June 2009 but you can preorder your copy from Barnes & Noble here (I know Michelle and I have already done so). And in case the Sex Drive photo doesn’t do it for you (well then I’m sorry I can’t help you), perhaps these will:
In this short interview with Metro Newspaper, Rob talks about several topics including, filming New Moon, being recognised & also talks about how he makes his choices in regards to the roles he is being offered. I always enjoy reading interviews with Rob & this one was no exception. It is a really great read.
Here is a snippet from interview:
How is the filming going?
It’s great. To be honest, I am surprised at how relaxed it is. I was really nervous before we started because there’s so much expectation now. But with this team, everything seems to work really well. Everyone knows each other. It’s one of the most relaxed jobs I’ve ever worked on. It’s really strange. It’s going really well so far.
Are there differences in your preparation to play Edward?
I feel very familiar with the character. I’m a ghost, a figment of Bella’s imagination. I’m not really playing Edward. I’m playing a kind of disrupted memory, which is really strange. I’m trying to play him as if Edward’s constantly thinking that things are going to fall apart. It’s this idyllic relationship on the top. I’m very, very close to the surface. He’s so insecure about everything.

Rob has made it onto another list & this time it is Forbes: The Year’s 10 Fastest-Rising Stars. Rob has came in at #7, tied with Anna Paquin of True Blood. Not quite sure how there can be a tie in this list but I thought a #7 ranking was pretty darn impressive. Maria thinks they tied because Rob plays the piano & Anna was in The Piano. I think she may be onto something there lol!  By the way, how gorgeous is that picture posted above. One of my favourites from Cannes for sure.
