Oh I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am. According to Acting Auditions casting has begun for support roles for Water For Elephants and filming is due to commence in LA on 22 May 2010. If you haven’t read this book, I recommend you do by the end of the year. There is a reason it was on the New York Times Bestsellers list and I’m so happy that Rob’s involved with this adaptation. Rob if these are the roles you prefer then I’m happy for you to continue doing the 3 scripts you like each year. Thanks to BelAmiMovie and RobPattzNews for the tip. Very much appreciated.
Rob I want you to work with an elephant and perhaps a monkey too! Oh Rosie I never thought I would be envious of an elephant – hang on do they need extras? I’ve got experience riding an elephant (yep in Bali, don’t laugh) – @Vertigo – I think we need to update our resumes – lol. Ok sorry back to what’s important – Rob talks to Showbiz about growing up, pressures of fame and industry expectations, but most importantly the possibility of working over the summer with animals. Anybody still need confirmation that he’s involved with Water for Elephants? Thanks to our friend the gorgeous Kate from our elite affie ROBsessed for the tip on this one – what a way to start the day.
Carson, like Rob, I can’t believe you said that about him at the end of this amazing review. Haha – yes the gorgeous Carson Reeves has reviewed the script for Water For Elephants and I don’t think I could get more excited. I’m an avid follower of Carson and I take his reviews very very seriously and so for him to score this script as “impressive” almost leaves me as speechless as Rob’s performance in Remember Me (Note to Carson please go see Rob in Remember Me if you haven’t and RPAU followers please be kind and don’t abuse Carson on his site). There’s spoilers in the review and so instead of posting here, I’m providing a link for you to read over at Carson’s site – Scriptshadow (for those quick enough there might be a little surprise). Again, please be kind to Carson and don’t hassle him about his Rob comment. He is entitled to an opinion even if it’s not in line with what we think and I think he’s still recovering from the abuse he received for his Bel-Ami review.
Oh I think I am on Cloud 9 – if Rob’s performance of Jacob is anything like Tyler – someone pick me up off the floor. Thanks to our gorgeous friend Kate at our elite affie ROBsessed and RobPattzNews for the tip. Seriously I just don’t know how much more excitment I can take and I’m really only posting this as further confirmation that Rob is signed on for this film – plus I love Reese. Can this week get any better!
Fantastic news everyone, Rob’s IMDb page is now showing ‘Circus’ as being in ‘pre-production’ with a release date of 2011 (US) & the info is now available for everyone to see instead of just being listed on IMDb Pro. Ladies, looks like Rob’s involvement in this film is official, well as official as we can get in this world called Hollywood. Cannot put into words how excited I was when I logged into IMDb & saw this & can hardly contain my excitement as I am typing. Interesting to see they have changed the name for the film, not sure why at this stage but sure we will find out more at a later date. The info listed so far is as follows:
Cast:
Robert Pattinson
Christoph Waltz – UNKNOWN
Reese Witherspoon
Director: Francis Lawrence
Writers: Sara Gruen (Novel)
Richard LeGravenese (Screenplay)
Plot: A veterinary student abandons his studies after his parents are killed and joins a traveling circus as their vet.
No Sean Penn which is a shame. He would have been a fantastic August but am sure Christoph will do a great job too. I love this story & just cannot wait to see Rob in the role of Jacob. He is going to be brilliant. 2011 is going to be another amazing Rob filled year. So much to look forward to everyone, so so much.
You all know how desperate I am to hear that Rob’s definitely signed on for this film, so I’m going to post any information that for me kind of confirms it. I know that’s slightly out of character since I never really want to post it unless it’s 100% accurate, but I can’t help but share this little bit of apparent “exclusive” news from Mike Fleming at Deadline. Mike’s saying that Sean Penn is out and “Christoph Waltz, a frontrunner in the Best Supporting Actor race for his portrayal of the charmingly sadistic Col Hans Landa [Inglourious Basterds], will make a deal to star with Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson in Water for Elephants, the Richard LaGravanese-scripted adaptation of the Sara Gruen novel for Fox 2000.”
There’s a part of me that hopes that Sean really isn’t out because I had already pictured him perfectly in the role of August, but then there’s a part of me hoping that it is true because the line “to star with … Robert Pattinson” confirms that it’s definitely going ahead. I’m pathetic I know. If you want to read the full article just click on the highlighted Deadline above. Clutching at straws I know.
