Mission: Blacklist France have a great Rob exclusive. Ursula attended the Berlin Cosmopolis premiere & had the opportunity to ask Rob a question about Mission: Blacklist on behalf of the website. I am LOVING these snippets we are hearing from Rob about the film. Loved the book & am so excited to see Rob portray Eric Maddox.

If re-posting, please ensure you link back to Mission: Blacklist France as it is their exclusive.

Well I know it’s not gospel, the fact that they have Rob as (rumoured) is evidence enough.  No rumour there about it IMDbPro since Rob’s eyes are on the poster and Embankment Films confirmed him in cast, but I’ll ignore it because I love that it’s listed as “Films in Production”.  Woot woot.

In a new interview with the Pundit Review, Eric Maddox chatted about Mission: Blacklist and the decision to cast Rob in the lead role.

Eric talks about having the final decision on casting Rob, which he called a ‘no brainer’, meeting with Rob for 14 hours earlier this month and Rob’s commitment to the project, and a bit more about the film.

“In A World of Lies Only One Man Could See The Truth” – hahaha um that byline is kind of ironic for Hollywood.

Cannes just got a whole lot more exciting – if that’s possible.

Well girls we wanted a military Rob and it looks like we are going to get it.

According to Variety:

“Robert Pattinson has come on board to star in military thriller “Mission: Blacklist.”

Jean-Stephane Sauvaire is committed to direct “Mission,” adapted by “Band of Brothers” writer and producer Erik Jendresen from the novel “Mission: Black List #1,” written by military interrogator Eric Maddox with Davin Seay.

Ross M. Dinerstein, managing partner of Preferred Content, is producing alongside Jendresen and Kevin Waller.

Embankment Films, the international sales and distribution company recently launched by Tim Haslam and Hugo Grumbar, will begin selling the film at Cannes.WME Global and Preferred Content will be co-representing North American rights.

“Mission: Blacklist” details the story of the search for Saddam Hussein and the interrogator, Eric Maddox, who spearheaded his capture.

Pattinson can next be seen in David Cronenberg’s “Cosmopolis,” which is premiering at Cannes. Sauvaire’s last film, “Johnny Mad Dog,” premiered four years ago at Cannes and won the Prize of Hope.

WME represents Pattinson, Jendresen, and Sauvaire. Pattinson is managed by 3 Arts and represented by the Curtis Brown Group in the UK. Sauvaire is managed by Anonymous Content.

The deal was brokered by WME Global’s Graham Taylor and Deborah McIntosh and Preferred Content’s Kevin Iwashina and Christine D’Souza”

As more info comes to light I’ll let you know.
