I have no idea what is going on with filming. Maybe this is second part of a shoot *shrugs*.  Or maybe they have been rehearsing all this time.  Rob mentioned in the Número interview “Just a few weeks we have been testing for the film in a car wash station, right in New York. We just came in and began to turn a trick. Employees and customers were looking at us like we were crazy: “Go, guys, go, what are you doing there, whore!” But before they had time to call the cops, the scene was turned”. Pre-production was updated on IMDbPro on 22 February 2016.  Anyway – it’s happening, but they just love to tease I think and keep us all guessing.

The Grand WTBUdapest interviewed Josh Safdie around October last year and at about 5.35 Josh explains why Rob wanted to work with the Safdie Bros.  “One of the reasons why [Rob] wanted to do a movie with us is because it’s been a very long time since he’s been able to sit down in a movie theatre and not feel like he’s watching a movie“.  Love listening to directors talk about why they do what they do.

According to Production Weekly, the filming schedule for Good Time is now 8 February to 18 March 2016.  I guess that is “soon!!!”

I started listening to Josh & Buddy’s interview yesterday, but didn’t get a chance to finish until this morning, but if you tune in around 1:43:40 there is a quick mention about Good Time filming. I was hoping Buddy Duress was going to be in this film but alas …

Oh dear lord .. I saw the words “prison” and “bad boy” and all of a sudden I’m at a loss for words.  No not really that’s a rarity in my world as you all know.  You might also know that JV8INC is casting the Safdie Bros “Good Time” and are holding some open casting calls on 5 December 2015.  Do you see what they say “STARRING MAJOR HOLLYWOOD ACTOR” – that’s a nice way to describe Rob isn’t it.   Here is what we know so far:

• The film is described as a “neo-grindhouse” flick , Robert Pattinson will play Connie, a bank robber to tries to escape as a dragnet beings to draw closer and closer.”  Elara films expanded slightly and tells us that the film “centers on a bank robber and his mentally-handicapped brother’s flailing efforts to evade the dragnet closing in on them. Pattinson will star as Connie.”
• Filming is currently schedule for 4 January to 12 February 2016 via casting agent *dates subject to change of course*
• UPDATED: 26 NOV 2016 The Village Voice interviewed Josh and Benny Safdie and Rob and Good Time were mentioned “Come January, the siblings are set to shoot their fifth film together, Good Time, starring Robert Pattinson, described by Josh as a “fugitive story about two guys on the run from the law who are put together in very strange circumstances.”

Finally.  And yet I find myself wishing I fit the description  for Crystal …
