Here’s a few more …
Dear Lord @caitcronenberg teased yesterday that she was hoping to bring us something special (she does stills photography on Cosmopolis) and boy did she not disappoint

Ioncinema is predicting 30 films to make the cut for next year’s Cannes Film Festival and guess what:
Cosmopolis – David Cronenberg
With A Dangerous Method in the can and being kept safe for Venice/TIFF premieres, David Cronenberg commenced lensing on Cosmopolis as of today. Based on the book of the same name, this will definitely be ready next May – it stars Robert Pattinson, Jay Baruchel, Samantha Morton, Paul Giamatti, and a former “face†of the Croisette in Juliette Binoche. Based on Don DeLillo’s novel, this will tell DeLillo’s story of a multimillionaire (Pattinson) on a 24-hour odyssey across Manhattan as he attempts to get a haircut, betting his wealth against the declining Japanese Yen.
Oh I feel so proud when it says “it stars Robert Pattinson” – why yes, yes it does! It might be 360 odd days away but I’m a pretty patient person – how excitement.
Thanks to cosmopolisfilm for the tip.
For Aussies it’s 24 hours until the birth of Eric Packer … thought I’d give us a taste of hopefully what we might see. Â I personally can’t wait to see how he emerges…
Thanks to The Official Cosmopolis site, we can now confirm that Jay Baruchel has joined the cast. Â On top of his casting, a few other cast members have been added:
Jay Baruchel – Shiner
Kevin Durand – Torval
Emily Hampshire – Jane Melman
Patricia McKenzie – Kendra Hays
The cast is really coming together now & what a great one it is. Â Love hearing news about this film – just love it. Â So so exciting!
There’s a new cast member for Rob’s Cosmopolis. Â According to Deadline:
“Jay Baruchel has joined Robert Pattinson in the David Cronenberg-directed Cosmopolis. Pattinson plays a financial wiz kid who puts his life in danger by betting his entire fortune against the yen on a tumultous day in the adaptation of the Don DeLillo novel. Baruchel plays the shy guy who founded the company, and who acts as the trader’s conscience.”
Baruchel hasn’t been added to the official Cosmpolis website yet, but I’m loving the look of the cast (except maybe their choice of photo for Rob – what were they thinking?)
How excitement.
