Robert Pattinson Idol’s Eye could be back on for 2018
Robert did mention to Indiewire recently that he’s in contact with Olivier Assayas every few months about the status of this film. The Fyzz Facility has a dedicated “Idol’s Eye” page which shows “2018” and “development”. They are also credited as financiers and it’s good to see that Sylvester Stallone seems to still be attached (even on IMDbPro). I guess time will tell. I really do want to see 70s Rob.
Robert Pattinson will play Colonel Joll in Waiting for the Barbarians
Well that didn’t take long. IMDbPro updated overnight and Waiting for the Barbarians has been added to Rob’s IMDb page. It’s under “projects in development and its status is still “optioned” Rob’s character name is “Colonel Joll”. Waiting for the book to arrive – so can’t wait to start reading it over Christmas.

Well we always knew this movie may not eventuate and if it does it’s possible Robert may not be involved. Oh well I’m sure if we don’t see uzi wielding Max we will meet someone else. From Dazed Digital:
“Because The Trap was almost made last year. We prepped The Trap for a year and were a couple of weeks out from shooting it, and then one of the actors dropped out, and the whole schedule collapsed. Rather than wait another year until everybody was free again, I wrote The Beach Bum.
So, for The Trap, do you need to wait until Robert Pattinson and everyone else is available again?
Harmony Korine: He was free. It wasn’t him who dropped out. But I don’t know. After I’m done with The Beach Bum, I’ll see where everybody is. I’ll probably end up recasting the whole film.”
Thanks Sue.
