Not sure if this is his bodyguard or driver but it’s Rob in Budapest either going to or leaving filming for #TheKing.
Thanks Su.

Robert Pattinson with Chef, Balázs András (Budapest)
Not sure when this was taken, possibly Friday night 20 July 2018. Also, it looks like Rob’s found a replacement tshirt for his old fave Stoli shirt.
Great new photo of Rob posing with a fan in Budapest, Hungary, where he is currently filming David Michod’s “The King”. We’re liking the look of “The Dauphin” .

Robert Pattinson to play The Dauphin in The King
Is he isn’t he – well know we know for sure that he is. Media outlets are confirming that Rob has joined (with Lily Rose Depp and Ben Mendelsohn) David Michôd’s #TheKing and will play The Dauphin. The film goes into production today in the UK:
Robert Pattinson and Lily-Rose Depp have joined the cast of David Michod’s Netflixoriginal production “The King,” the Shakespeare-inspired film starring Timothee Chalamet and Joel Edgerton. Shooting starts in Britain on Friday.
Australian actor Ben Mendelsohn has also joined the production. Mendelsohn previously featured in Michod’s debut feature, “Animal Kingdom,” in 2010. Pattinson and Michod previously worked together on 2014’s “The Rover.
…
Pattinson is set to play the French Dauphin, while Depp will play the French Princess Catherine. Mendelsohn will play Chalamet’s father, King Henry IV.
Liz Watts, who worked with the director on both “Animal Kingdom” and “The Rover,” will produce for Australia’s Porchlight Films, alongside Edgerton, Michod and Pitt’s production company, Plan B.
“The King”is scheduled to debut on Netflix worldwide in 2019.
Robert Pattinson, Sean Harris, Ben Mendelsohn and Lily-Rose Depp have joined Timothee Chalamet and Joel Edgerton in Netflix’s upcoming period drama, The King.
David Michod, the director behind Netflix’s War Machine as well as crime drama Animal Kingdom, is helming the production, which begins June 1 in the U.K., and wrote the script with Edgerton.
…
According to Netflix, The King is based on Shakespeare’s Henry IV and V, focusing on a young and disgraced prince Hal (aka the future King Henry the V) who “inherits the crown and must learn what it means to be a king, guided by his one true friend, Falstaff.”
Chalamet is playing Hal, while Edgerton is Falstaff.
Pattinson will play The Dauphin, who is a French duke; Mendelsohn will play King Henry IV; Depp will portray Princess Catherine, daughter of the French king, who marries Hal; and Harris will step into the shoes of William.
Robert Pattinson Not Attached to David Michôd’s #TheKing
Interesting tweet this morning from Justin Kroll of Variety confirming that Rob is not attached to star in The King. We have posted previously that there were rumours he was involved and it is listed on IMDbPro, but as we know (and has been pointed out to us numerous times over the past 10 years), IMDb is NOT gospel. For now, I’m taking Justin’s tweet as confirmation of Rob’s non-involvement with this film. To be honest, not sure where Rob may find the time to film this in June in any event given that The Lighthouse is being filmed up until May and then there’s talk of The Souvenir: Part 2 and Waiting for the Barbarians. Time will tell of course if we’re all wrong. In the meantime, I am hanging up my “speculation cap” and am content to just wait and hear official confirmation about what the next project will be that Rob and David have up their sleeves. After all, patience is a virtue.
IMDbPro still showing Rob as at today
