New Robert Pattinson #TheBatman Teaser at DCFandome?

imgbox

With only 7 days to go until DCFandome, Rob confirmed to attend and The Wrap claiming Matt Reeves will provide new footage, it looks like this rumour might be true. According to ComicBookMovie and @DCVerso is true:

The @DCverso1 Twitter account has spotted a very interesting image which was shared by Alexander Gavrilin in a now-deleted Instagram “Story.” Who is he and why should you care? Well, he’s the Russian voice actor who dubs Robert Pattinson’s lines in the country, and the wording on the paper he photographed translates to “Teaser For The Batman” and “Jim Gordon.”

This seems to suggest that Gavrilin has been recording lines (along with his fellow voice actors) for an upcoming teaser trailer for The Batman.

Matt Tomlin Talks Robert Pattinson #TheBatman Script

image host

Den of Geek recently spoke with Matt Tomlin, cowriter for The Batman screenplay and this is what he “could” say:

“It’s tough to talk about, just because you want the movie to speak for itself,” Tomlin admits. However, he’s still willing to talk in broad terms about how this version of the Dark Knight will be different from ones we’ve seen on screen in recent years.

“It’s the early days,” he says. “I think that, first of all, it’s a younger version than the most recent versions that we’ve seen.”

“I think that Matt Reeves as a filmmaker, if you look at any of his work, whether or not it’s Let Me In or Cloverfield or the Planet of the Apes movies, he’s always coming from a point of emotion, it’s never the big action thing,” Tomlin says. “It’s always, what is this character’s soul?”

“I think that really looking at Batman as somebody who has gone through this trauma, and then everything that he’s doing is then a reaction to that, rather than shy away from that, I think this film leans into that in some very fun and surprising ways,” he says. “I think that’s all I can say without getting yelled at.”

The official schedule for DC FanDome has been released and the panel for “The Batman” is scheduled for Saturday, August 22 at 8:30pm. The panel will be hosted by Matt Reeves and will include surprises for fans. We’re assuming one of the surprises will be an appearance by Rob, as he was confirmed as a guest.

Additionally, according to The Wrap, there will be some new Batman footage revealed:

“fans who tune in will also get to find out more about WB outings like James Gunn’s “The Suicide Squad,” James Wan’s “Aquaman” sequel, and Matt Reeves “The Batman,” a must-see as Reeves joins host Aisha Tyler to talk it up and treat fans to some new footage.”

All of the panels will be streamed via the DC FanDome website. You will need to register for an account to watch the panels. You can register at this link: DC FanDome.

Pennyworth Cast Talk about Robert Pattinson & The Batman

The Pennyworth cast were asked what they think of Rob and Batman. I like how Paloma Faith says ““I’ve been binge watching all of his recent films in lockdown.  I just think he’s incredible”. Rob is incredible Paloma – that’s why we’ve been here since 2008!

Robert Pattinson & Matt Reeves Confirmed to Attend DC Fandome

Rob and Matt Reeves are confirmed to attend DC Fandome on 22 August 2020. You might remember we posted about it HERE. It’s a virtual convention that will be streamed for free and available for 24 hours. Hopefully Rob and Matt will be there are a reasonable time otherwise I might have to stay up until about 4am. Wouldn’t be the first time I’ve done that for Rob. We will post more information closer to the date, but I’m excited that we will hear about some content for Batman. The Bat Signal is well and truly lit!

Catherine Hardwicke talks Robert Pattinson as The Batman

ET talk to Catherine Hardwicke about Twilight at Comic-Con, Midnight Sun and Rob as Batman. Comic-Con talk starts around 1.14, but I’ve started the video at 2.48 where she talks Rob.

“Rob is Batman now… I mean, I can’t wait to see it because I know he is going to just bring layers that are fascinating, you know because he is a very fascinating person, so I’m excited about it.”
