Robert Pattinson The Batman Recommenes Filming in Liverpool

There’s been no sign of Rob as yet, but according to several media sources, filming has recommenced in Liverpool and it appears to just be prep work at the moment. Back in March Liverpool was set to become Gotham City, but as we know filming shut down due to COVID-19 the film. Here are some excerpts concerning the upcoming filming:

From Batman News:

It appears that another part of the U.K. is set to become part of Gotham City as The Batman is due to start filming at Anfield Cemetery the week of Oct. 12.

In a letter that went out to residents and businesses near the Cherry Lane entrance to the cemetery, work on setting up production will begin on Oct. 12. A one-way traffic system will be put in place to accommodate the shooting.

Filming is then set to commence on Tuesday, Oct. 13 and Wednesday, Oct. 14 from 6:00am to 9:00am, and again from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.

The production is asking the public to stay away from the area due to coronavirus safety precautions.

Warner Brothers vans were spotted in the city centre on Wednesday afternoon as workmen hauled props into St George’s Hall, which appears to be the set for one of the scenes in the upcoming blockbuster.

A vintage cream and red car with a wedding ribbon tied across the bonnet was parked outside the historical building, possibly teasing a romance for Batman …

The building was cordoned off with railings to stop the public getting too close to filming, as workmen set up the location before the cameras rolled again.

None of the cast, including Robert, were seen on set but it is likely that they will be filming in the area in the coming days.

The Liverpool Echo:

St George’s Hall and the surrounding areas were a hive of activity today as production crews for the new Batman movie which is filming in Liverpool rolled into town.

Preparations are underway for filming to begin as barriers and fencing have been put up around St John’s Gardens and the Lime Street entrance to St George’s Hall.
