Just to confirm that I spoke with Nickelodeon this morning and their official comment is “there are no further plans to bring Robert Pattinson to Australia for the Awards”.   Sorry again to disappoint, but we have had a few queries about it this morning.

 

For those who don’t follow us on Twitter (and why not?) you won’t know that we often retweet Peter Facinelli’s tweets. Peter asked all that if his followers helped him get 1 million followers he might get Rob or Taylor to guest tweet as he has done previously with Kellan Lutz and Nikki Reed.  Well, he might not have 1 million followers, although he’s pretty close, but a few hours ago he managed to get Rob to tweet:

I am surprised Twitter didn’t have a meltdown.  The most important thing though (not that Rob’s tweet above isn’t important & Rob thanks for taking the time to do this – we know you don’t have to) is Peter’s response after Rob’s tweet and further confirmation, as he has previously tweeted, that Rob DOESN’T have a Twitter account.  For those following the Fake Robs (there are plenty)  for fun that’s fine, but for those who might still believe they are tweeting the real Rob, please consider unfollowing or blocking these fakers.  Seriously there is nothing funny about preying on innocent people.  That’s my community service announcement for today oh and sorry PFach I didn’t have a pic of you sitting next to Rob on a laptop – lol.

Thanks to the lovely JenniB‘s tip last night that How To Be was to be released in Australia in November, I contacted Justin Kelly to make sure it was true before I teased you all.  Well everyone the wait is almost over.  Justin confirmed to me this morning that How To Be is hitting our stores on 4 November 2009 and put me in touch with Madman Films.  So you better get your credit cards ready because Madman has given us this link to preorder the DVD.  Hopefully if you preorder you should have Art in your homes a few days before it’s available at the stores.  Seriously how can you resist – even I’m even thinking about ordering another copy since you can never have too much Art!!

Don’t forget that MTV on FOXTEL will be showing the VMA Red Carpet and Awards show “live” from 4.00 pm (Eastern Standard Time) on Monday 14 September 2009.   Click here to see program guide.  It then looks like they will be repeating them straight after for those who missed the “live” version.  I’m not sure if it really is live, because they also said they were showing the MTV Movie Awards “live” and it wasn’t.  In any event, not having a go at you MTV or FOXTEL because you’ve got them on from 4.00 pm to 11.00 pm so the fact that you are screening the VMAs means there is nothing for me to complain about.  Oh and I think I know why Russell Brand cut Rob off last year, clearly Rob’s jokes were funnier than his (not hard really).  Thanks to socialitelife for the pic.

Michelle and I thought that we really needed to do a post to thank all of you for your support while RPAU was “disabled” last night for the most frustrating 12 hours of our lives.  Seriously we always knew we had some amazing affiliates and followers (both on the site and twitter), but we were seriously overwhelmed by your responses.  To our fantastic affiliates ROBsessed, Thinking of Rob, Spunk Ransom, pattinsonlife, Robert Pattinson Unlimited, Robert Pattinson Source and TwilightGossipGirlNews – we love you.  To Cullen Boys Anonymous, Twifans and rpattzonline – thank you, thank you, thank you.  If you haven’t checked out all of these sites – you really need to!

To our devoted site followers and tweeters – we can’t list you all otherwise I may never finish this post, plus if I leave someone off I’m dead (and not the kind of *dead* from viewing Rob pics).  You all know who you are – we of course love you too!  I think the one thing we learnt last night is how to turn a negative into a positive and you know our new twitter follower paranolia was spot on this morning when she said “well every cloud has a silver lining” and that silver lining for us is all of you because you are all truly amazing.  Rob, I know you have some crazy fans (and I don’t mean crazy wild in the fun way), but you should be very proud that you have this incredible community out there that cares about each other and most importantly you.  For those not following us on Twitter – and we understand not everyone does – you might want to write this down in case the site disappears again (it better not) and you are missing your Rob fix – http://twitter.com/RPAustralia – it’s the only way we can let you know what’s happening.

Okay enough of the emotion – you know I’m going to provide you with a thank you pic and who better to say thank you with than Clocktower Eddie – yep I know i’m predictable – it’s not Rome Rob but it’s Eddie in Italy which I say is just as good!  Of course we can thank Kimber at Robert Pattinson Unlimited for this very nice size photo and now  *I is dead* lol! 

Well we have been out of action for the past 12 hours or so but we are now back, woo hoo!  So in order to celebrate, here is the reason why we are all here.
