John David Washington thinks there may be a sequel with the Protagonist and Robert Pattinson’s Neil

Esquire interviewed John David Washington and they asked if he thought there may be a Tenet sequel that features his character, The Protagonist, and Rob’s character, Neil. For those who haven’t seen the film, I’m adding the transcript excerpt below, but be wary to read the whole print article or watch the video interview (even though JDW talks Rob having difficultes driving with that gas mask on) as there are SPOILERS:

In my mind, that’s a yes!” he said. “We will be doing this again, we’ll see you in a couple of years.” But don’t get too excited, Tenetheads—Washington was quick to acknowledge that this could just be wishful thinking on his part. “In reality, I don’t know,” he continued. “Chris does what he wants. Maybe he has something that he’s developed for years that he wants to do next, maybe he’s been inspired by something else he sees and wants to do that, I don’t know. I hope we get to do it again, I hope we get to explore more, because I think we found something really unique.”

Christopher Nolan drops #TENET teaser trailer in cinemas before Hobbs & Shaw

“Time For A New Protagonist” – that’s the byline for Christopher Nolan’s dropped teaser trailer (just over a minute long ) released during various screenings of Hobbs & Shaw in the US. It is yet to be officially released online (although there have been pirate copies available before Warner Bros shuts them down). This teaser focuses on John David Washington and has people wondering if we will eventually have teasers for each character. Both Collider and THR saw the clip and have provided detailed descriptions/explanations of what is seen (click on links if you are interested to know). Here’s a few reactions from people who saw it:

I also noted that the British Council Film’s British Films Directory now includes TCoaL on its website, but seeing as they’ve added the still we’ve been asked not to post, I’ll just provide a link.

Remember we mentioned here that Childhood of A Leader was scheduled to film in November?  Well according to Deadline, Protagonist Pictures is scheduled to do the following:

Shooting in the next six months are Rebecca Miller’s Maggie’s Plan featuring Greta Gerwig and Julianne Moore; Whit Stillman’s Love & Friendship starring Sienna Miller; Andrea Arnold’s American Honey; and Brady Corbet’s directorial debut The Childhood Of A Leader with Berenice Bejo, Tim Roth and Robert Pattinson.”

So maybe November was just a hunch, nevertheless, it’s filming in the next 6 months which means Rob should be free to work around his other films.  Rob and Tim Roth.  Rob and Bob DeNiro.  Now we just need Rob with Christian Bale, Ed Norton, Charlie Hunnam and/or Clive Owen and I think my world might just be complete.  No pressure Rob.

And from Protagonist’s website under new projects:

Don’t be alarmed that it still states Juliette because if you click on Associated News it provides you with an article about Berenice joining the cast.

*_____________________________*  As you can see (yep there is writing on the pic, hard to notice I know lol) the film is listed as completed & we are also given a running time of 104 minutes.  For those who are wondering where the pic can be found on Protagonist’s Website, it’s part of their 2011 Cannes/Web Brochure.  Oh Georges, can the day we meet be very very soon – please???

I was just thinking how much we need this still untagged & thanks to Linda at pattinsonlife – wish granted.  *grins* I love when that happens.
