Possible US Release Date for Bel-Ami?
You know any bit of news about this movie gets us excited – even if its a rumour. Â I’ve already posted that the Australian Distributor for Bel-Ami is adamant that the movie will be released here later this year, but now there might be a possible US release date. Â According to The Hollywood Reporter, this little tidbit was posted next to pictures from Breaking Dawn:
19th October you say – ooooh that would mean two Rob movies within a month *clapshands*.  Well I’ve seen other rumours that the film might be released in September, so fingers crossed someone is telling the truth. And let’s not forget the Venice Film Festival will be held between 31 August and 10 September 2011 – I’m still waiting for Bel-Ami to be screened at one – so this might be the last chance.   Hmm perhaps this is why Rob has no movies scheduled to film between August and November … because let’s face if – if it’s at Venice he will have to be there.  Then if it’s released in October, he’ll have to promote it in September and then he’s going to be pimped out heavily no doubt by Summit for Breaking Dawn … *goesofftodream* – jesus  actually that’s not a dream that’s crazy – how are we going to cope with that kind of heavy promotion – we hardly coped with WFE in April/May.  Better batten down the hatches girls …

I was just thinking about bel ami yesterday. Literally just popped Into my head out of the blue – and I wondered if it might have been a bit of a sign there was news!
But then I haven’t been able to think of much else since @Michelle blessed us with those BD gifs (oh god – that back)

I read Bel Ami last week, and I must say I am very much looking forward to seeing Rob as the deliciously vile Georges. As much as his character is a truly despicable, self-serving, greedy, womanising piece of work … oh, he’s just going to be so damned sexy.
