@Michelle thank you for taking us back to memory lane. I never thought he could get any more beautiful, but I truly think that the older he gets the more gorgeous he is. He’s like wine the more he ages the better he gets. Thanks again Michelle. Oh and I also the love the one with him and Cam, they both look so adorable.

@Martha M I just got back from Black Swan and for the first time ever (as my cinema buddy said) I am speechless but it’s because I’ve really got nothing to say not that the film was so brilliant. Natalie Portman is exceptional in the role although I was left wondering if she is receiving the awards to get more people to go see this film – no I take it back she’s good since she is in every scene. I’m not sure what I was expecting but it wasn’t the film I saw. I think the best way to describe it – is that it’s a psychological thriller. People kept saying I would be traumatised – um no that’s not how I felt at all. It’s not a bad film, but I don’t think you will hear me gushing like The Fighter. I think the best way to say it is – if someone asks me should they see the film my response will be “have you seen Christian Bale in The Fighter?” lol. I don’t know I think I might have to sleep on it.

That review for Black Swan @Maria is pretty spot on. I saw it last week, and like you went in knowing it was a psychological thriller, but all I could say when it finished was, “well, that’s not what I was expecting!” Natalie Portman was good. Her physical transformation has to be commended, she looked like a Ballet dancer, ribs and all. But then again, she wasn’t too far off that anyway.
Christian Bale on the other hand..I left The Fighter thinking, ‘this guy must be mentally disturbed.’ He was too good in that role.
I also saw Reese’s movie, How Do You Know. She looked the best she has every looked, but the movie was…slow. I liked the plot, but it was just a bit…slow. What’s next on your movie list? I still want to see The King’s Speech.

Maria, I so appreciate your review. I think it’s a movie I won’t be seeing. Like I told you before I’m not so good with suspense, drama, and Thrillers. I’m getting so much better at it (You’ve made me brave). All I’ve heard of the movie is that it’s weird. A co-worker saw it. Said she didn’t quite get it. I thank you again Maria for recommending The Social Network, The King’s Speech and of course The Fighter those were all excellent movies. I loved all three. I will always be grateful that thank’s to you I saw them, my Siskel & Ebert LOL.

Agree @Carlisa Natalie is very good in the role and that was my sentiments too “wasn’t what I was expecting”. I’m tossing up whether I see 127 Hours, but I definitely want to see Hilary Swank/Sam Rockwell’s Conviction which comes out in a few weeks. Hmm maybe Matt Damon in Hereafter too when that’s released. Oh and I just realised that Andrew Garfield has a movie coming out with Keira Knightly – very incestuous lol.

Oh and forgot to say you MUST see The King’s Speech – Firth, Rush and the bonus of Guy Pearce make it oh so worthful. Poor Geoffrey I kind of feel sorry for him up against Bale – any other year and the Oscar would have been his.
