George Stroumboulopoulos (and yes I can pronounce George’s surname easy) asked Sarah during his interview who has more diehard fans – Rob or Viggo Mortensen – seeing as Vertigo falls into both camps, I thought I would post and see if she agrees with Sarah’s response.
“Who’s got crazier fans GS: Who’s got crazier fans – well, let’s call them ‘passionate’ fans, Viggo Mortensen or Robert Pattinson?
SG: You know I thought it would be Rob, but then when we were in Venice Viggo has some diehard fans, and they just they love him! They freak out for him. But you know Rob doesn’t even have fans … he has this like, CIA. They know where he is, they know everything, they know every detail – they’re on it, so….
GS: That means you’re in it! You know we have a photograph here – every time there’s a photo of you and him together … [this is actually a great shot of the two of you in a scene] …when you get caught up in that, does your life change at all, in any way?
SG: Well, I think when we were shooting I made a really strong effort to not pay attention to any press, or anything, because you’re so involved in your characters and in your work, and you don’t want anything on the outside to inform this working relationship that you’re creating, and so I really tried to block that out, but then afterwards when the shooting finished and people kept saying things to me I kind of thought wow you know – maybe that really was a whirlwind that we were caught up in. “

Can I just say – it takes a lot for me to fangirl over an actress. I tend to do it over Meryl Streep and occasionally Julianne Moore and Hilary Swank. I think I now have to add Sarah to that list. She reminds me of a female version of Rob – she just has a presence about her.
As we know, Rob is attending the ‘People’s Choice Awards’ tonight and is nominated in the Favorite Movie Actor category for his portrayal of Jacob Jankowski in ‘Water for Elephants’. ‘Water for Elephants’ is also nominated for Favorite Drama Movie and Favorite Book Adaptation. Here’s to a big, and much deserved, win for Rob and WFE.

I know how much we all love taking a trip down Rob memory lane, my idea of heaven. I thought I would put together a montage of pics that span from 2005-present. Was just watching some AUSTAR & saw an ad for Graham Norton. Rob’s episode from back on May 6 this year (OMG that date!) will air tonight on FOXTEL/AUSTAR channel UKTV (103) at 9.35pm & then again on UKTV+2 (156) at 11.35pm. Rob on our screens – just LOVE it & LOVE this interview!

This year has been just FANTASTIC. Rob in Sydney *OMG – the memories* A day I will never ever ever forget & one I will treasure forever. We are so so lucky. I cannot wait to share the EPIC Rob year that is going to be 2012 with you all *happy dance at the thought* So so very much to look forward to.

We are so lucky to be able to enjoy & witness your fantastic career – something I am so thankful for. You bring us so much joy- more than you can ever know. My dear friends Maria, Vertigo, Lise-Lou, Suze & Jules – thank you so much for keeping me sane & being the best friends a girl could ever wish for *mwah* The time we have spent together this year (& some in person woo hoo) has been just so wonderful – so many fun, amazing & happy times.
