*sigh* no matter how many times I see this cover, I still have the same reaction I did when I first saw it back in February – just takes my breath away.  No surprise AT ALL that it sold 67,000 copies.   Here is all the info:

Reality Check on Details cover:

The best-selling issue from the Jan/Jun 2010 rate base period, this sexy cover sold 67,000 copies…33% more than their overall average for the statement.  It also sold 14% more copies than the same time slot in 2009.   I’m sure the 10th Anniversary sky bar didn’t hurt the sale either.

According to ASME copy, “Details wanted to, in the words of photographer Norman Jean Roy, transform Pattinson from “teen-idol vampire boy into a more adult version of himself.” To achieve that, creative director Rockwell Harwood decided to rent a gothic mansion outside of Los Angeles, hire several female models who were willing to spend an entire day naked and dress a 23-year-old British heartthrob in high-end designer clothing.”.

I know I speak for the majority of us when I say how much I love this shoot.  Seriously how anyone could not appreciate the beauty and tastefulness of this shoot I will never understand. Clearly the readers of Portrait Magazine are very very smart people.  Rob has came in at #6 on their ’20 Most Beautiful People Inside & Out’ list.  Rob is of course extremely beautiful on the outside, but the reason why I love him the most is because of the extremely beautiful, kind, sweet, gracious & down to earth person that he is on the inside.  As we have said many times before, he is truly one of a kind – a rare & precious gem in this world.  Here is an extract from the magazine article that echoes what I have just said:

“But there is definitely more to Rob than his looks, he’s very down to earth, polite and charming and treats his fans with the respect they deserve”

I know I’ve said this before, but I truly hope everyone appreciates just how very special Rob is & appreciates how kind & gracious he is to each & every person that he meets.  I always have & always will. Like he was ever going to lose after wearing that Gucci suit.  According to Glamour UK:

Oh and can I just say whilst I was over at Glamour UK I saw this heading “Ed Westwick I Get Mistaken For Robert Pattinson” – really Ed – are you trying to be a comedian now?  I’d like to know what alternate universe you are living in?  Hang on – let’s just compare ..  oh yeah I can see the resemblance NOT!  In fact Ed I’ll have to admit I never even knew you were English, but I see you’ve jumped on the “if I pimp Rob’s name I will get more notice bandwagon”.  Good luck with that – apparently it’s been working for Christina Ricci.

I really love this pic of Rob & Taylor that is featured on the cover of the July 2 issue of Entertainment Weekly.  Rob is so so gorgeous.  As we have mentioned before, I really do love the friendship that Rob & Taylor have.  It’s nice to see them on a cover together.  I am now thinking about the outtakes from this shoot.   Please be heaps & can we see some soon – please??

The lovely Esther Chen from PEOPLE magazine has been gracious enough to send us an UHQ version of Rob’s cover for this Twilight: Eclipse Special Collector’s edition.  If you want to check more out on their exclusive Eclipse section, then just click on the highlighted link.  The magazine has exclusive interviews, 145 fab photos and behind the scenes scoops.

The issue went on sale on newsstands in the US on 21 May 2010 and is available until 21 June 2010.  I’m not sure if it is available in Australia, but we are definitely finding out.  Once I know I’ll update the post, but if it’s not then I may have a source that can get it for you and I will provide that information in the update.

Those of you who bought ‘The Sexy Stars of Twilight’ & also ‘The Sexy Stars of New Moon’ will be interested to know that Barnes & Noble now have available for pre-order ‘The Sexy Stars of Eclipse’ & have also included a preview of some of the content included in the magazine which I have posted below.  As you can see, the magazine which is produced by the editors of US Weekly includes 7 giant posters  (hmm in my opinion all 7 should have been of Rob) & 160 stunning photos.  I just adore the pic of Rob in Paris on the cover (once again, I think the whole cover should have been Rob)   If you wish to order your copy, all you need to do is click here.  They don’t have an exact release date at the minute but mention that the publication date is May 2010.  Thanks to Loving Rob for the tip.
