Here are just a few of my fave Rob as Giselher moments to help finish off our Golden Years Giselher week.  How great has this week been – I’ve loved every minute!

Here’s the second vid that I have done for those who haven’t had the chance the see Rob as Prince Giselher. I’m pretty sure my actual fave scene is the first scene in this vid.  I love it when  Siegfried asks him if he has any talent and Giselher says  ”I am a Prince – I’m not allowed to work” – um sorry but I see talent and Rob, you are definitely a Prince among men – that is for sure.  I have to say that although I know and Rob has said it many times that his voice is dubbed in this film, I can’t help but hear a little bit of whiney Art in this voice.

No – you are insane King – screaming at Rob like that – um I mean Prince Giselher.  There are so many wonderful Rob moments in this scene because let’s face it – we all dream about finding a stowaway that looks like Rob – no?  This wasn’t my original favourite scene to be honest, it’s the one where he helps Siegfriend make swords, but my software was being a pain and I gave up.  Although I have now managed to include it in Part 2 or is it 3 of Prince Giselher.  Anyway I  love the part in this scene where he is star gazing – oh and the way he flicks his green robe over his shoulder at the end – did they really have to wear that much clothing – oops sorry Lise-Lou you are a bad influence!  Anyway – hope you enjoy this scene as much as I do.

I realise that I haven’t posted my favourite scene yet, but I thought for those who haven’t had the chance to see this film I would put together a series of Rob’s performances.  So this morning, here is Part 1 of Rob’s scenes from Ring of the Nibelungs or Curse of the Ring as it’s known in Australia.  For those who are familiar with the movie, yes there is a scene missing from this vid,  it’s not my favourite one, but for some reason it was being a pain and I  had to edit it out and insert it into Part 2.  So yeah there’s 3 parts which will be posted over the next few days.  Hope you enjoy.

There are no obstacles when Rob is focussed on delivering his interpretation on screen and his talent was evident as early on as his performance as Giselher. Long live the King! Ok perhaps he was a Prince, but we know better right?

When having to decide upon a fave scene I really just couldn’t go past this one – our introduction to Rob as Price Giselher. He is so cute in this scene releasing the bird & waiting for him to return. Then trying to be all brave & stamping his authority while attempting to get him back. No idea what that bird was thinking landing on Siegfried’s arm instead of Giselher’s though *shakes head* Oh & Siegfried, just as well you redeem yourself with Giselher a bit later on cause at this point – I am not very happy with you!! Oh & have to say, to the person who decided to dub over Rob’s beautiful voice – what the hell were you thinking??? Seriously how or why anyone would EVER dub over his voice I will never understand. INSANITY, just absolute INSANITY!!! Anyways, enjoy the beautifulness that is Rob everyone, I know this will be the first time for some seeing a scene from the film.
