It’s hard to compete with the Georges photos this morning, but okay I will attempt with some more of my faves from the set of Remember Me.  It is Rob after all ….  Thanks to our friends and elite affies Robert Pattinson Source and Socialitelife for the tagged pics.

Well in Australia I can tell you that Remember Me grossed AUD510,753 from 173 screens according to Urban Cinefile over the opening 4 days.  It came in at no. 8 which I suppose isn’t that great, but we are only talking about 173 screens.  We can’t even begin to compare that to the US where it came in at no. 4 with gross takings of USD8.281 million but that’s over 2,211 or so screens according to Variety.  You have to remember it hasn’t experienced worldwide release yet - I mean the UK isn’t seeing it until 2 April and I know Mexico doesn’t have the chance to see until 26 March.  So it’s still early days.  The other thing we need to remember is that it was made for USD16 million so really when Rob calls it a little film - he’s not kidding - I mean Johnny Depp was probably paid more than that just to play the Mad Hatter.  We will check again next week to see how it’s faring, but to be honest I don’t think it’s doing too bad.  So keep on getting the word out there and introducing new people to the talent that is Robert Pattinson - I know most are pleasantly surprised, plus this movie as a whole is probably one of the most profound films to come out of  dare I say Hollywood in a very very long time.

Tamara at Kojo Pictures told me today that Sydneysiders are going to be lucky once again and will be able to see Little Ashes on the big screen.  The Chauvel Cinema in Paddington will be screening Little Ashes for 2 weeks from 25 March 2010.  Their website at the moment doesn’t have any details, but I have contacted them and will let you know screening times shortly.  This is great news coming off the back of Little Ashes winning Outstanding Film in the category of Limited Release at the 2010 Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) held in New York on Saturday, 13 March 2010.  If you weren’t able to come along to the screening in December or during Mardi Gras then you really need to get along to the Chauvel during this 2 week period so you can truly enjoy Rob’s performance on the big screen.

Here’s a few of my favourite photos from the set of Remember Me during those heady days of filming.  Ah Michelle remember how spoilt we were when Rob was filming on the streets of New York - it was just impossible to keep up with the “grand deluge” lol.  Please refrain from making any spoilerish comments about these photos - remember there are still loads of countries that haven’t had the chance to see this film yet and although we thought we saw most of it from pics like these the actual movie is nothing like we all conceived.

Oh I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am.  According to Acting Auditions casting has begun for support roles for Water For Elephants and filming is due to commence in LA on 22 May 2010.   If you haven’t read this book, I recommend you do by the end of the year.  There is a reason it was on the New York Times Bestsellers list and I’m so happy that Rob’s involved with this adaptation.  Rob if these are the roles you prefer then I’m happy for you to continue doing the 3 scripts you like each year.  Thanks to BelAmiMovie and RobPattzNews for the tip.  Very much appreciated.

If you haven’t had a chance to see Rob as Salvador Dali, well the wait is almost over.  JB Hi-Fi is taking pre-orders for the May release of the DVD here in Australia.  In all honesty seeing Rob as Dali gave us a glimpse of what to expect in the future - for me it hinted at the potential that I think we have definitely seen as Tyler Hawkins and I can only imagine what we will see with Georges and Jacob.  Rob puts so  much effort into his roles that it’s impossible not to appreciate the performance.  If you have had the opportunity to see Rob as Tyler Hawkins this weekend, but you haven’t seen him in this role, then do yourselves an enormous favour and preorder your copy here.  As with Remember Me, the supporting cast in Little Ashes are extraordinary.  I could wax lyrical about Rob, but hey I’m preaching to the converted and honestly I just ordered myself another copy.

Well there was no way that Rob was ever going to be able to compete with the blockbuster that is Alice in Wonderland, and let’s be realistic - noone is going to beat that film at the moment, but no. 3 is freaking pretty good.    According to Variety Remember Me brought in $3.5 m on Friday in the US.  I’m still waiting to see what the Aussie figures will be, especially for opening weekend, but that won’t be until tomorrow.  Plus I’m curious to see what opening weekend will be in the US too.  Will keep you all posted.  Oh Rob this film is epic you all deserve for it to be a success.

Here’s a few more pics of Rob that I haven’t posted from the NY premiere of Remember Me.  I just adore it when he laughs like he does in the firset pic.  Is that person pointing at me - yeah Rob she’s tracked you down again - hahaha.
