So apparently it’s my turn now 🙂 A few old edits, a few new – I hope you enjoy.  Apologies in advance for the rambling and gushing….

Favourite Photoshoot – Premiere (France)

I was THIS close to going with Esquire. However for sheer creativity, bravery and going all the way out there to be different – I’m going with the Premiere shoot with Danielle Levitt which hit us right between the eyes just before Cannes. Absolutely incredible. I also loved seeing the behind the scenes photos recently from this shoot and Rob engaging with her and her creativity. How brave, knowing it wouldn’t be for everyone and it really did divide people. I love it for every reason possible. Thank you Rob, thank you Danielle.

Favourite Movie Premiere – The Rover, Sydney Film Festival – 7 June 2014

OK, this was hard!! I LOVED everything about The Rover in Cannes – it was amazing in every way imaginable and I LOVE ROB IN CANNES SO MUCH (I can’t emphasise that enough – he’s just MADE for there and hello, King of Cannes this year) but I’m going with Sydney’s Premiere for The Rover. Seeing Rob, Guy and David in Sydney, in the country of The Rover itself?? What could be more perfect?? Oh yeah, the RPAU girls getting to experience the red carpet LOL The stuff of legend – every single beautiful moment. I still can’t wipe the grin off my face thinking about it all, even now!! It was truly deserved for all they do here at RPAU. I am thankful for RPAU every day, a site to be proud of if you don’t mind me saying. 🙂 It was also special knowing how much Rob loves the country and how much he appreciated that freedom while filming – you see? Love it for so SO many reasons.

Cheated a little since not all images from the Premiere 😉

Favourite TV appearance – Popcorn with Peter Travers

This was such a great interview and what sends it up to my number one for 2014, above Seth, was just the moments when Rob tried to curl himself into a ball to avoid having to sing anything. Anything at all. I mean, that was just hilarious and wonderful. I also loved him with Seth in particular too and there were some wonderful and fun interviews with Guy and David too but yeah, this has to be my winner.  Seriously, how lucky were we in 2014?? 🙂

Most Anticipated Movie Role – LIFE

I really do want to choose them all! That feeling, sitting in the cinema and watching Rob on the big screen – there’s nothing quite like it!! This year was brilliant – two films – TWO and we should be lucky enough (fingers crossed) for more of the same this year pretty please. *forms prayer circle* Anyway, after much thought I’ve gone with LIFE. The Childhood of a Leader is soooo intriguing, The Lost City of Z sounds incredibly epic and I LOVE the book but still has hurdles to clear before being made, I’m so excited to see him as T.E. Lawrence but aaargh if I have to choose it’s LIFE. I can’t wait to see this friendship develop on screen between Dennis and James Dean, Rob behind a camera for a change will be brilliant and just seeing them recreate that whole era will be incredible I’m sure. Is it September yet (at least I think that’s the UK release – off to check Maria’s updates!).

Favourite Public Appearance – The Rover London UK promo (BFI and Apple Store)

This was the easiest! And yes I’m cheating because I’m including BOTH London appearances in August 2014 which I was lucky enough to attend and be in the same room/theatre as Rob (Guy and David!!). Beyond my wildest expectations and if anyone had said at the start of 2014 that I’d get to create edits using my OWN photos? I would have thought you’d been whacked by the crazy stick. But lo….I was there, I got to take a few photos!!!! BEST experience. SIMPLY THE BEST. I know I’m incredibly lucky and Idoubt I’ll manage to see him again like that but that’s ok with me, I got to experience something magical and that feeling will last me for a very VERY long time. 🙂

Favourite Unexpected Rob Moment – ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

So playing guitar for Death Grips passed through my mind briefly but to be honest I can’t ever see beyond the ALWAYS EPIC Rob and his Ice Bucket Challenge. I’ve popped in an edit but I’ve included the video in all it’s wondrous glory because I’d rather see the moving version any day of the week 😉

Jules, fabulous, thank you. Love that Premiere France photoshoot for all the reasons you have stated, love it when Rob pushes the envelope and the Peter Travers TV appearance, Rob and Guy just hilarious together, makes me feel good. All wonderful choices, thank you for sharing.

*claps hands madly* Thank you, Jules! this was beautiful, especially with all your added quirks and artistry (the TV set David’s ‘holding’ – LOL!) I can’t tell you how happy I am that you got to see Rob in person. Talk about deserving of it! So many many great moments in 2014 – I don’t know how you were able to pick favourites from all the amazing photoshoots – they were all, in their own way, stunning, showing Rob off in all his changeable glory. Let’s hope there are more of those this coming year!

Premier was indeed a huge moment. Rob is fearless with his artistic choices.

Jules – Your edits are joyous and a perfect way to celebrate such an epic year. I really like the London ones. It must have been surreal working on your own images of Rob. I’m very happy you and our Aussie Ladies now have these memories you all so richly deserve.
